Trump's advice to teens: Follow your heart, do what you love (Urbandale, Iowa)

Donald Trump's advice for high school students in suburban Des Moines, Iowa, is uncharacteristically wholesome: Avoid alcohol and drugs as well as cigarettes.
The billionaire businessman and Republican presidential candidate is also encouraging the teens to follow their hearts and do something they love, even if it means making less money.
"You represent so much. You represent the future. You represent something very important," he said.
Trump offered his views Saturday night in the parking lot of Urbandale High School as he addressed a group of students dressed in sparkly mini dresses and suspenders and bowties ahead of their fall homecoming dance. A social media campaign brought him to the celebration and hundreds of students, parents and others turned out to hear him.
"If you can stay away from the alcohol and stay away from the drugs, it's a big, big barrier that you won't have to work out. And it's so important," he said.

I am a BIG fan of metal sculpture. Some of it is the highest form of art.

Can you not read? Or are you just a jerk? No where did he say he loves muslims! Hope he would always consider anyone qualified if they are 100% loyal to America which by default eliminates most all muslims by their own nature.

Trump, with all his riches and glory, is a good man...he gets my vote!!! Why?
Because he loves muslims?
Here's a news flash for you Sparky, as Christians (assuming you are one) we are ALL called to love Muslims, just as we are called to "hate the sin, but love the sinner".
If Donald Trump says he "loves muslims", he is actually displaying the exact behavior that Jesus Christ taught us, which is to love and pray for those who persecute us, to pray that they will see the error of their ways and accept Jesus Christ as their Savior.
We can certainly hate the evil and wicked things that Muslims (and others) do, but we should aspire NOT to hate them individually if possible (there are understandably exceptions, Osama bin Laden, Mohammed Atta, Barack Hussein Osama, just to name three filthy terrorists)
But you can take your Trump-baiting back to TDS(c) central and try something different, ok?

Professional welders make a good buck.
Good for professional welders.
There are plenty of jobs out there which a young person can get without breaking the bank or borrowing heavily.
Then you do not see what has happened and is happening all over America.

indeed radical islamic terrorists are terrible people but the vast majority of muslims are decent human beings.

Middle east example of good vs bad muslims are the Kurds vs ISIS. We must be careful not to lump all muslims in the terrorist category but we should not be importing muslims by the truckload either.

My stock answer would be: I would consider any good AMERICAN to be in my cabinet.
He essentially said just that ;-)

Why uncharacteristically? Trump doesn't smoke or drink or use drugs? He actually does seem to have smoked and might still light up cigars every now and them, as probably many of his friends do. Check for example a clip from his recent WSJ interview. His daughter Ivanka as well as his first wife are smokers.
After all, he is 69 years old so his best young adult years were during the American golden age of smoking, 1950s-60s, when even cartoons featured cigarette ads, when doctors would offer a cigarette to their their patients in their office and recommended brands on TV.

Some of those kids wanted Bernie Sanders instead. Why? They get enough of that DemoRat socialism crap already pushed in the schools. Why ruin a good Saturday night of fun with a crusty, old socialist bore peddling more of the same.

I watched that interview previously but just watched again, thinking perhaps I missed something.
Admittedly, I’m on my first cup of coffee but I didn’t hear him say he smoked or that his daughter and first wife did.
Perhaps you could quote him for me? Thanks.

Smoking an occasional (meaning one is not addicted) good cigar, likely without inhaling, is a very minor vice.

My oldest daughter, when people are trying to push their unsolicited advice on her and she wants to politely blow them off she says, “Thank you very much. I’ll take that under consideration.”
They go away happy and she does what she wants. That’s essentially what I heard from Trump.

Did you mistake him for Carly who in September 2001 said they had the world’s greatest civilization?
