Donald Trump on Saturday responded to a question from CNN about whether Muslims pose a danger to the country, saying: "I love the Muslims. I think they're great people."
The Republican presidential front-runner made the comment after addressing high school students here at their homecoming Saturday night.
During a question-and-answer session with students, Trump was unable to avoid being asked about the latest political controversy dogging his campaign: his decision not to correct a supporter this week who called President Barack Obama a Muslim.
One student told Trump that she considered Muslim-Americans to be an important segment of the country. They asked whether the billionaire businessman would consider putting a Muslim in his Cabinet or on his ticket.
"Oh, absolutely," Trump responded. "No problem with that."

You are pathetic. He can’t tell a school full of high school students that he would discriminate against anyone. Some of them are old enough to vote and I’m sure he felt privileged to be asked to speak at their homecoming. My God - can’t you just see the beating he would take the next week or so in the media if he said anything other than what he did? I understand why you probably aren’t into politics - your answer would be political suicide for any candidate.

The numbers in the Middle East are staggering concerning their support of same. This is not an isolated problem.
Trump saying he loves you is like the getting the kiss of death. What do we hear in every speech of his? How he loves the Chinese, Japanese, and Mexicans. Then he proceeds to explain how he’s not gonna let them get away with taking advantage of our country anymore. He always mentions how much he likes Jeb - right before he beats up on him.
Maybe his next wife will be Muslim.
Trump should have explained the difference between radical jihadists and law abiding live and let live Muslims. The problem is the former greatly outnumber the latter worldwide.

Lots of nice people are Muslim in the world... What’s bad is the religion and the culture it creates... Horrible incentives - incentives that cause Muslim counties at war most of the time... and paranoid. Incentives that keep Muslim countries primitive, brutal, and socially backward.
It’s like black people. Lots of nice black citizens... but inner city black culture’s a nightmare. It’s a nightmare for black citizens and everyone cursed to live near.. Ben Carson grew up in that black inner city culture - and he’s a good person. It happens. Same with Muslims.

I am a conservative American which means I do everything in my power not to vote for candidates that use government to take other people’s property. I know mileage varies on that.
