I don’t remember a presidential campaign where “conservatism” as a disembodied concept is championed like it is now. Huckabee was right when he said Reagan’s campaign theme was about the greatness of America, not the greatness of conservatism. It is getting creepy. The themes that Trump is running on are conservative, and these idiots are concerned that he doesn’t belong to the true Church of Conservatism.
It's not that they're worried about conservatism. I had a friend once who couldn't buy a house for the life of him. Every single home had something he didn't like, the back yard too small, no dining room, didn't love neighborhood, etc. We all finally decided he just didn't really want to commit to house.
I guess my point is, it's easier to pass than invest.
