To: 9YearLurker
Naw, it’s just that he supports it. With all the problems in this world, this is minor, IMO.

Mine either. We aren’t going to agree 100% with any candidate, but, there are far bigger fish to fry than the subject of ethanol. Besides, their Senators will fight tooth and nail to keep the status quo.

It’s not the size of the issue so much as that it goes against the non-pol, truth-telling brand. That’s what’s given him the success he has, and this makes him look like just another pandering pol.
To: 9YearLurker
Maybe he isn’t pandering - maybe he is in favor of it. This isn’t a deal breaker for me.

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump 4h4 hours ago Queens, NY On my way to Iowa. Will be landing in Des Moines in two hours. See ya!
To: Catsrus
But why is he in favor of it? That’s what I was asking.
To: 9YearLurker
Why don’t they sell octane along with ethanol? Give us a choice!!! They took our choice away even tho I can buy octane at one gas station.
To: VinL

I don’t know - you’ll have to ask him. Maybe he isn’t totally familiar with the subject. I say we get rid of obamacare, PP, foreign aid to countries who hate us, build that wall, get rid of the illegals, which will save us billions - and then maybe take on subsidies later. You can bet the farmers will fight tooth and nail to keep the subsidies - but, like I said - there are bigger fish to fry than this.

Is he? The Tweet was a guy responding to Trump but Trump didn’t say anything about ethanol. Anyone have a statement?

Yes, he did. He was asked if he favored it and he said he did.

My point is, why do people assume because a Tweet-er said HE favored ethanol that Trump does?
