Sen. Ted Cruz said he did not have as much time as he would have hoped in the debate. It is clear he shines without a time limit. Here he takes questions at the Heritage Foundation Presidential Forum.
TED CRUZ: "The Washington Cartel," that's the term I use for politicians in both parties that get in bed with the lobbyists and special interests and grow and grow and grow government.
If we're going to break the Washington cartel, the only way to do it is we have to take it on and bring power out of Washington and back to the people...
Have you noticed the Washington establishment, they tell us over and over that every time they run they run as a conservative, as one of us. Not a single person on that stage in California said I'm a squishy establishment moderate I stand for nothing.
And yet they say if you are actually one of us, you can't win. They're convinced every person in this stadium is unelectable...
To each of those men and women standing on the stage: That's great. You're adopting rhetoric today against Washington. If you want to be an outsider, fabulous. Show me where you stood and fought against career politicians in both parties.

The guy's a rock star.
For the Ping list.
#CruzToVictory!
Just a few quotes from his today.
We need to elect a president that is as committed to conservative principles as Barack Obama is to liberal principles
1/2 GOP SC justice nominees screaming train wreck disasters
If you have judges behaving like politicians they cant expect 2B exempt from the authority of We the People
We cannot elect a Republican president who will simply manage the decline of this country.
If I am elected President, the world will know that America is back - Ted Cruz
Did he say that he wants to increase the number of H-1B visas exponentially?
CC, ignore those with low IQ’s; they’re beneath you.
Yup.
Don’t bother. The FReeper in question has been repeatedly schooled on Cruz’s positions but seems to think it is his mission in life to stalk every Cruz thread.
Remember: Happy Warriors.
(I say this after going several rounds with that FReeper and several others.)
And that is exactly why they cut him off.......
Not to sweat, he's doing great anyway. I love that man for his courage to say what needs to be said and he has the intelligence to know what he is talking about. Cruz/Trump or Trump/Cruz, Oh boy what a team to Make America Great Again.
Thank you Lord....please continue to intercede for us.
Mark Levin: “National Media Lovefest” Over Carly Fiorina

MARK LEVIN: So I believe the establishment media were poised to declare Fiorina the victor over Trump and most of the field. So she is one of the establishment favorites...
You don’t have to agree with me, but at least let me put some facts out there. The indications were everywhere. Most of the same voices who opposed Trump, and before him Cruz, are singing her praises today. Notice that?
Notice how quickly they have lurched from Bush To Kasich to Fiorina?

He did propose raising the cap on H1b visas by 500% but in the same proposal he included serious border control and enforcement, equal wages for H1b visa holders (which negates the advantage in hiring them) and serious penalties for for those who hire H1b visas holders when there are qualified Americans available and seeking those jobs.

It doesn’t really matter because nothing was passed at the time. Cruz even said at the time that it was unlikely to pass because it was too tough for the gang of 8 to accept. It was a poison pill.
Duncan Hunter Sr was as tough as they come and he often included things in border bills that he knew would be unpalatable to senate republicans.

...Theres a huge chasm between the ruling class of American society and those over whom they rule. Its not simply a disagreement over the direction of society. In many respects, the duty of the ruling class is to guide their subjects to the right policies. In a sane society, the people in charge are smarter and more knowledgeable so they better be more right than the masses.
No, the dispute today is over the nature of society and it is an irreconcilable dispute. The ruling class of today imagines a world that does not include a thriving, rambunctious middle class that participates in the decision making. They imagine a world that looks a lot like feudalism, where the people are kept, like pets or farm animals. Its a world that cannot accommodate the English speaking worlds idea of a citizen.
The choice before us is a simple one. Either the ruling class gets a new people or the people get a new ruling class.

That is pretty much my understanding of how that went down.
Just felt uncooperative with a particular anti-Cruz troll this time and it gave me a chance to post the Cruz link again today.
-—We need to elect a president that is as committed to conservative principles as Barack Obama is to liberal principles-—
I beg to differ here, in all due respect to Mr. Cruz.
0bama’s committed to far worse ideals than liberalism. He needs to be identified for what he is: either a communist, Marxist, or satanist, or some combination.
Referring to 0bama as a liberal doesn’t quite do it.
It doesnt really matter because nothing was passed at the time. Cruz even said at the time that it was unlikely to pass because it was too tough for the gang of 8 to accept. It was a poison pill. For some reason you left out the 30 million green cards in the gang of 8 bill he proposed amendments to. But I guess according to you he had no intention of voting for the bill, even though he proposed amendments to it.
In 2013, Sen. Cruz proposed amendments to the Gang of 8 bill that would strengthen border security, expand green card opportunities, increase high-skilled H1B visas, prevent illegal aliens from receiving welfare benefits, and enforce the rule of law.Green cards come with benefits. Once an illegal is issued a green card they're not only no longer illegal, they're also not illegals collecting benefits...Pretty good trick Ted.
BTW, issuing (30 million) green cards to illegals is AKA (backdoor) amnesty.
People talk a big game but most of them would immediately end up somewhere to the left of Lindsey Graham if they had the chance and the money was right.
Help me to better understand your meaning...?
These people who want to nit pick every term used by candidates for not being extreme enough would themselves probably end up to the left of Lindsey Graham if they held elective office.
Its easy to talk from behind a computer screen but leading and inspiring others is a whole different matter.
