School districts will simply double-down on enforcement of all the other petty rules so that they can juke the stats by not appearing to be watching Muslims more than non-Muslims. Call it the FAA-solution.

Far as I'm concerned, this is another example of a "dry run" in that muslims are testing the establishment to see what they can get away with. Expect to see more of this as they up the ante.

Looking at the suitcase, no rational person would obviously think that it was a clock. It looks very much like the popular image of a suitcase bomb. The boy's alleged "passive aggressive" behavior sounds very much like that of the Flying Imams, whose unusual behavior alarmed airline passengers a few years ago.

I disagree with Spencer's suggestion that school authorities overreacted. This situation is not comparable to those in which children are suspended for drawing pictures of guns or having a one-inch plastic G.I. Joe gun in their backpack.
