Too intellectual, too lawyerly-- he needs to find striking expressions that make his point clear in far fewer words. This isn't an academic debate or an argument before a judge.

I love the content of what he says, but I was disappointed in his delivery also.

I always praise CRUZ to my wife and she’s not buying it. She’s not “as” political as I am, so she doesn’t know the in and outs of why I like him. Her response “he gives me a creepy vibe for some reason, his delivery, it’s preachy.”
