The speculation is irrelevant to my original point. Intellectual response rather than military response was unacceptable to me and to you as well. On 9/11/2001 when I heard the plane hit the first tower I told my wife it was bin Laden.
I also posted the same thing on 9/11 here at FR before 90% of the MSM even knew who he was. So we both have history there.
But I am confused by your comments then and now. 9/11 was not an individual event, it was the culmination of a long series of attacks by jihadists on Americans and American interests. That Muslim boil needed to be lanced militarily, not by intellectual discourse.
You know all of this already though. You’re a smart well informed guy. I differ with Bush on how we should have fought and who we should have targeted and killed but I won’t be voting for anybody who thinks we should not have responded militarily to the jihadists boil in the Middle East and Northern Africa.
