The casual observer is going to wonder why the moderators were ganging up on Trump. Did not look fair no matter how bad you hate Trump.

Agree...the bias against Cruz was VERY evident, as well.

Maybe not the most memorable thing but overall to the causal observer and the sophisticated one as well Governor Bush had a mediocre, mediocre debate performance. The consequences that his dismal performance and the panic it will cause is a good thing as Martha would say. What the RNC wanted to happen to Governor Bush is starting happen to Senator Ted Cruz - a slow steady improvement peaking right at voting time. The unfairness shown him is going to help him to start moving. Fleeing Dr. Carson voters, finding their champion in Cruz should get him much closer to Trump. Recent history suggest Senators make terrible presidents - I hope Senator Cruz is learning as much from Donald and Donald is from him because he does need to be more aggressive/assertive/louder. Voting for an outsider self-funded builder like Trump, is a of an once in a lifetime opportunity too good to pass on. So Cruz needs to up his game I wish I knew how - I'd share.

random thoughts

Wonderful thread - made the debate way more fun

CNN made it a point to ambush Trump

CNN also made it a point to cut off Cruz

CNN also stacked the audience. An audience that never or rarely gave Cruz any applause even after Cruz made some great points.

CNN clearly stacked the audience for Fiorina and likely gave her the questions in advanced as she sounded rehearsed, practiced and staged.
The audience also went wild over her as well.

Jeb got a lot of applause for his “Everyready” answer, but they almost howled in disapproval when Trump came back with “Humble” which was a clever retort.
It thought that exchange was the best moment of the Debate, yet the audience doesn’t agree. Gee, I wonder why.

FOX continues to attack Trump. Everyone except for Hannity and to some extent, BOR
It’s clear that the GOP put out the marching order.

Conspiracy Theory: I believe the GOP may have approached Ben Carson to be their “hit man” as he suddenly got a large bump in the polls and is an AA, but Carson refused.
The next choice was Fiorina who also got a mysterious bump in the polls last week and the MSM has been talking her up all week.
Surprise, surprise, suprise! - Who is the MSM saying won the debate?
Fiorina.

This debate was an insult to anyone of above-average intelligence.
It was rigged from the get-go.
Those that have suddenly become enamored with Fiorina need help.

The MSM and GOPe are in cahoots to take out Trump and will do anything to make him look unelectable because he is not their guy.
He can’t be bought. No status quo, no quid pro quo, no business as usual.

They would gladly push a moderate like Fiorina because they know she will play ball and can be bought.

Same reason Trump is being assassinated by the MSM and GOPe is the same reason that Palin was - she was not going to be “business as usual”

Politics is a multi-billion dollar industry that has become lobbyists bribing elected officials and everyone wants a cut of the cash.

We are no better than the Philippines or Thailand when it comes to corruption and bribery - they are just more open about it.

We can also go back to 1992 when Perot was the Billionaire that couldn’t be bought that was going to shake up DC
He led in the polls then suddenly dropped out due to death threats against him and his family.

He eventually got back in the race and pulled a respectable 2o% or so of the votes, but it was too little, too late and it got us Clinton.

The GOPe is playing with fire. If they pull this shit on Trump, he will give the GOPe a big middle finger and might run as an Indy.

Regardless, I’m appalled at this so-called “debate” tonight.
This was “Kabuki Theater”
It was a stacked audience, rigged questions, character assassination of Trump and not allowing Cruz to make his points.

The fact that FNC engaged in similar shenanigans is heartbreaking as they used to be a beacon of hope in the darkness of an overwhelming liberal media, but they have sold out as well except for Hannity and BOR.

At least we have Rush, who predicted pretty much everything that happened tonight.
I’ll have to give him a listen tomorrow.
I think Rush should start hitting the TV talk shows if possible to call them out but they will likely not give him any air time.
