Trump is steady. No one has knocked him out. His supporters will stay his supporters. 30-25% of the voters are his. Smirking Fiorina might go up a bit but she’ll take votes from a RINO, not Trump.

You guys---some for Trump, some hating him---missed the point tonight. You all treat it like it was something big, broad, aimed at "the public." Nope. Trump had one goal tonight. It wasn't to smack down Yeb and Paul (he did both). It wasn't to "appear presidential."

Trump is a brilliant tactician who attacks tasks like a businessman, namely, get to yes. Make the sale.

He is leading in every single poll and only one person was remotely close. Who was that? Fiorina? Cruz? Rubio?

I submit to you that the tactician went into this debate with one goal, to widen the gulf between himself and ... Ben Carson. Did he do that?

If what I read here is remotely accurate, he succeeded 100% and didn't get his hands dirty, not even attacking Carson once.

Next week you will see Trump unchanged in the polls, but you will see his victory margin wider because the GOPe stopgap, Carson, will have lost ground.
