Obviously, before 9/11, they did not keep us safe.
Immediately afterwards, he went after the enemies and did well.
After 9/11, they weakened our nation by gutting Rights and failing to lead the country by responding to the attacks.
Attacking Iraq was foolish.
After the attack, he pushed us deeper and deeper into debt.
It is a very mixed record.
I said nothing about W’s record or the Patriot Act or his spending.
I made one point and only one point. He and Cheney kept us safe.
