Talk in Kennedy circles is that Caroline Kennedy is furious over the revelation that a longtime confidant of Hillary Clinton’s secretly sabotaged her bid to become a US senator — and Kennedy may seek her revenge by backing veep Joe Biden if he runs for president.
In June, leaked emails revealed that Hillary henchman Sidney Blumenthal had orchestrated news stories undermining Caroline while she was vying to be appointed to Hillary’s Senate seat in 2008.

Kennedy backed Obama over Hillary back in 2008. Why would this come as a surprise?

If true, Hillary did Caroline a favor by keeping her out of the Senate. Ambassador to Japan is way beyond her pay grade. Maybe Asst Protocol Officer is inside her comfort zone.
Hard to think of a less qualified person for senate besides Hillary, but Caroline is actually one. House of lords maybe, but not senate.
I guess there are still some Dems that care about Caroline Kennedy though I’m not in a position to gauge this but it seems she has little influence and depends on the Dem machine and her family name to carry her along. Just an observation.

I think for all practical purposes the Senate is the House of Lords. Where our betters, in their lofty perches, rule over we the great unwashed.

Sid vicious did Kennedy a favor, she isn’t all that sharp. IIRC right during her Senate campaign, before she pulled out, she had that disastrous interview with the NY Times full of umms, ahhs, and 142 times “you know”. Money can’t cover that up.

I think, like, if that's really what Carolina Kennedy is, like, really thinking then, like, she's wrong because, like, she really, like, killed her own chances for, like, the nomination with that, like, interview she had on, like, the Today Show or Good Morning America or, like, whatever show she was, like, on.

It was Caroline’s and Teddy’s endorsements of Obama that turned the primary race to him in ‘08. No love lost between the Kennedy and Clinton camps. Not sure there ever was, other than Slick Willie purporting to model himself (in more ways than one) after JFK.
