An active shooter has been "spotted" on Delta State University's campus in Cleveland, Miss. around 11:45 a.m. Monday, according to the campus' Twitter feed.
Cleveland police confirmed one victim has been transported to the hospital, while the suspect remains at large, the Clarion-Ledge reported.

“Active shooter” scenario at University of South Carolina last year left two dead, a professor and his ex-wife. So this could be the same type of thing. Prayers to all involved.
We play trivia every other week. The bottom team selects one category for the following time. My team picked college mascots. One of the questions was what school has a plant with edible green seed pods as the mascot...of course it was Delta State and no one got it. Another was what school has a yellow banana slug for a mascot.

I have close friends in Cleveland, whom I first met 12 years ago when they were vacationing at the Cayman Island resort my daughter manages.
