Morning AB….All….
Went to church yesterday so am home all day today.
As always, thank you AB, for doing this thread, and thank yon commenters for the wonderful commentary.
Labor Day is done, the tourists went home, time for us to begin working and get the good guys elected.
Let me begin by telling the story of our church’s 9-11 mass.
It was a most ordinary mass but it was the FIRST mass our church ever had on 9-11….I don’t know why.
Because our infamous “Tea Party” priest, Father Tom, gave a homily that made the church so quiet one could, literally, hear a pin drop.
For he told us how Islam is a fake religion, how the prophet Mohammed was either a liar, a charlatan, an honestly mistaken soul, or all of the above. It was riveting, brave, and a little bit scary. Did you know Mohammed thought the holy trinity was the Father, Son and Virgin Mary? Just one intriguing tidbit from Father Tom’s homily.
There were over 500 people, you read that right, FIVE HUNDRED PEOPLE, at that mass, almost 20% of them weren’t even Catholics. First, at 8:46, we paused, the moment when the first plane hit the tower. Then we sang America the Beautiful, all the versus, then mass, the dedication for our new campus flag pole….and….hey guys, on a Friday, at an odd time, the church was packed! Also, last Sunday the church was so packed I could barely find a place to park, this on a campus with almost a thousand parking spots! And this was with me arriving a half an hour early because I was singing in the choir!
Indeed Father Tom is taking Sussex county by storm and the people are coming.
Oh, he is coming to the Sussex county GOP meeting tomorrow night.
Oh, I am interviewing him Tuesday morning, already got the picture.
Oh, and he’s coming to my house Wednesday night where we will be watching the debates. Also coming will be the Secretary of the Sussex GOP and a local radio talk guy, drive time, has a show called “Radio Free Delmarva”. Heh.
But there’s more about me and Father Tom cause God has a plan going on here so let me take a breath.
Later in the thread I shall tell you about the nasty woman who confronted me during the celebration of our NEW FLAG POLE Father Tom put on our church campus…..got into my face, and screamed at me…..well more on this later.
Has something to do with me on the radio and my on-air comments about Father Tom…..folks, I am staying off the radio cause it does nothing but get me in trouble.
One more interesting note….this past Labor Day I went with a friend, the above mentioned secretary of the GOP, to see “The War Room”. Drove up to Dover in a red mustang with the top down…go on guys, God is giving me my life back and I need it badly.
It was a truly great movie, will be doing a review of it later.
As for the Father Tom saga…..heh…..during a recent conversation with him I reminded him (he is from Kent county and was very active in Delaware politics there) that Sussex county elected Christine O’Donnell he should remember.
“The night before her election she called me up and asked me to give her communion and bless her. I told her I couldn’t give her communion out of mass but if she shows up tomorrow night I’d give her a blessing and communion together. So I blessed Christine O’Donnell and the next day she was elected.”
Heh.
BTW, the lady who confronted me, and I have witnesses horrified witnesses, who saw the whole thing, is a Christine O’Donnell hater. And she’s not real happy about Father Tom and his extreme conservative tendencies, as she sees it. Also then there’s an old guy with a pony tail and red pants and roaming hands.
Finally, I have a picture of Diane Feinstein! Indeed my friend Pat, who looks exactly Diane Feinstein, posed for a picture (this friend was also a witness to that awful nut job who screamed names in my face, so close to me I could see the retina in her eye) cause I told her my Sunday FreeRepublic people want to see her.
Heh. And she does look exactly like Diana Feinstein in the picture. She has no idea what a FreeRepublic is and only recently even heard of Diane Feinstein. But she did come over one day and put brake fluid in my Jeep….got to love a friend like that.

Is it possible to install Father Tom as the Pope instead of the current deluded Argentinian lefty who seems to think more Muslims invading Christendom again for another go at world conquest and religious persecution of Jesus' followers and anybody else who won't accept their wicked cult is a fine, fine thing?
Father Tom sounds like a gem and a great guy to hang out with. Take good care of him, Pat.
