Perhaps you have already seen this article regarding the strange goings-on in the Shmitah year, occuring every seven years, the 7th year where the earth remains fallow, no farming is allowed, food grown is forbidden to be consumed or sold.
But people, Christian and Jew, had expected these strange occurrences, due to the phenomena occurring seven years ago during the most recent Shmitah year.
