Bringing Even 10,000 Syrian Migrants To America Is A Mistake (Wrong, It's A Huge Mistake)

As millions of Syrian migrants stream into Europe, the Obama Administration has announced that the United States will be taking in 10,000 refugees.

That is a mistake.

Of course, that mistake could get a lot worse before it’s over. Democrats are already calling for a massive increase in those numbers. Dick Durbin, among others, has called for us to take in another 65,000 refugees. There were initial reports that John Kerry called for us to take in 100,000 migrants behind closed doors, but when that went public, he denied it and indicated the number would probably be closer to another 30,000. Given that Germany is promising to take in 800,000 migrants this year and 500,000 a year afterwards, the pressure will be on for America to dramatically increase the number of Syrians we take in.

Granted, there are probably some wonderful people in Syria, just as there are terrific people in every nation who could add to America. If they were applying for citizenship, it would certainly make sense to consider them on a case-by-case basis.

On the other hand, if we were picking nations to recruit new Americans from, Syria would be pretty close to the bottom of the list. People speak Arabic there, not English. Although the country has theoretically been a republic since 2012, as a practical matter it’s a dictatorship. So, the people of Syria have little experience with democracy, freedom of the press or the rule of law. Although about 10% of the population is Christian, most Syrians are Muslims and radical Islam and virulent anti-Semitism are common. Put another way, Syria is not a fertile breeding ground of the sort of people who are going to fit into the culture of a country like America and make a big contribution.

As if that isn’t bad enough, Syria is also an ISIS stronghold and the terrorist group has publicly promised to use the migrant crisis to sneak its members into Western countries.

This is not an idle threat.

You hear a lot of talk about America’s rigid screening process for refugees, but in practice almost everyone who applies (even the people from other nations PRETENDING to be Syrian) will be rubber stamped and waved into the country. Will one of those people blow himself up on a bus, decide to shoot up a daycare center or fly a plane into a building because he’s been taught that’s the best way to serve Allah? Well, you better cross your fingers and hope not because it’s very unlikely the government will screen out most rank and file members of ISIS that apply. Even if there aren’t any terrorist attacks committed by the migrants, which is a huge “if,” especially if the numbers escalate -- the overwhelming majority of them are going to be dead weight for everyone else to carry along.

In fact, if you guessed that 80% of these refugees would end up on food stamps if they come to the United States, you’d probably be UNDERESTIMATING how bad it will really be.

According to Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) data highlighted by the immigration subcommittee staff of Sen. Jeff Sessions — chairman of the Subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest — in FY 2013, 91.4 percent of Middle Eastern refugees (accepted to the U.S. between 2008-2013) received food stamps, 73.1 percent were on Medicaid or Refugee Medical Assistance and 68.3 percent were on cash welfare.

Why should any American who cares about his country want thousands of new refugees who’ll be welfare cases at best and risks for terrorism at worst? Again undoubtedly, there will be some terrific people who’ll come here from Syria as well, but if we can almost guarantee that they’ll be outnumbered 9-to-1 by people nobody in his right mind would want in his country, how dumb do we have to be to allow them in?

That’s especially true since the United States has already done more than any nation in history to help nations in the Middle East. In the case of Syria specifically, we’re trying to stop ISIS and we’ve given the ridiculous sum of 4 billion dollars in aid to help Syrian refugees, which is more than any other nation. Why do we have to do that AND take in migrants as well? We already take in 70,000 refugees a year, we have north of 5 million illegal immigrants here using their kids to live on the dole (and that’s a VERY conservative estimate), we spend billions we don’t have in foreign aid every year and the American people give more to charity than any other group of people on earth. When is enough, enough? Americans do more for the world than any other 5 countries combined and usually we get little other than grief for it. It’s time that we let other nations do their fair share for once instead of risking of the next 9/11 by taking in Syrian migrants.

The further from home they are, the less likely it is that they’ll ever return there.

“In terms of settling the migrants, if the ultimate goal is to return them to their homes, which I believe it should be, it doesn’t make sense from a logistical or a security standpoint to move large numbers of them to far-off countries like the United States.

This is Obama importing Muslims and outright terrorists to further destabilize the US and prepare it for Sharia law and collapse.

Three points:

1. Starting with Germany. Let's assume 1% of the 800,000 refugees coming in are affiliated with militant Islam. That is 8,000 people. Military FReepers know what 8,000 armed people can do. What if it is 0.1%? 800 people, which is still a significant military force. 0.01%? 80 people, still enough to spread around and take down several cities simultaneously. 0.01%? 8 people, more than enough to do several Charlie-type attacks or train attacks.

Just how lucky does Europe think it is? 1% lucky, 0.01% lucky? Hopefully not 10% lucky, as that would be 80,000 men.

2. The same applies to the US. A main contributor to America's safety has been that it is bordered by two great oceans on either side. It thus gets a 'safety dividend' thay Europe does not have, even if one takes into consideration the porous borders with Mexico (and Canada ....if I were a Jihadi I would use the Canadian border, but that's for another discussion). It has been a number of years since 911, and the authorities have stopped several planned attacks. Kudos to them. The issue is that the bad guys only need score once, while the good guys have to block every attempt. Sooner or later a goal will go through, and for ISIS it would be a great coup for them if they could show an ability to strike at the US. Unfortunately, ISIS will be planning to execute a bigger attack than Al Qaeda, so we can anticipate that the lowest-scale attack will be a 911 level attack, with a high probability of it being a bigger attack.

3. What is my hope in all this? That the West opens its eyes before it is too late. I do not think the West is prepared for what's coming (as a Kenyan living in a country that has limited ability to take care of itself, even though it does try, I have no illusions about what Jihadi Islamists try to do, and no 'kumbaya' daydreams of 'negotiating' with their like). The attack that will hit the West will most probably be devastating, and it is my hope that the West finally realizes that there is a war going on and they need to get their heads out of the sand. Jihadis laugh at you! They know they can send men and you'll accept them as refugees. Saudi Arabia laughs at you ...they have multiples of billions of Dollars in reserves, yet all they can do - rather than offer to host the refugees - is offer to build TWO HUNDRED mosques in Germany! Mosques that I am certain espouse the wahhabi /salafi brand of radicalization Islam that the Saudis and Jihadis propagate (before it touched down in Afghanistan some decades back women could go to university and wore western garb, and before it hit Somalia in the 80s the popular traditional dress was a translucent fabric that left little to the imagination, and the men were very carefree ....the wahhabi radicalization let to the Islamic Courts and then Al Shabaab, and everything from cellphone ring tones to open laughter were banned). They laugh at you. The West considers Saudi Arabia an ally, and sells F-16s to Pakistan, and all along claim Iran is the world's number one exporter of terrorism when the truth it is the trifecta of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Pakistan. They laugh at you.

I hope you have the last laugh.

And 10,000 was never the number intended—it was only offered up for public consumption. 70,000-100,000 is the plan.

The savage ISIS promised a tidal wave of “refugees” into Europe several months ago. They vowed to rule the world.
They are keeping their promise. Germans even welcomed them with singing greeters. Of course, the German military had to be called out when the Kurds and Turks started a fight and near riot there. And, we have our own Imam in Chief welcoming them here. Serious, troubled times are ahead for America.

No, it’s a great idea.

In fact, there are so many oppressed people in the world these days that we really should bring in a hundred million or so.

Heck, why not a billion; it’s a big planet, and none of these poor characters have homes of their own!

You are correct. This is Obama importing muslims. Humans worship either good or evil. Muslims worship evil. Why do we want more evil in our country? Send all the Satan worshippers back to the Middle East. There they can worship evil and murder each other.

Even 1 muslim immigrant is a mistake.

I heard on the radio today that 75% muslim refugees in Europe are MEN.

These cowards leave behind the womwn and children. We should not take one male over the age of 15. The rest should be required to stay and fight.
