He was having brain issues ... serious ones. He had a traumatic brain test & he was in the bottom 10 percent & the docs told him his brain would stop functioning in 5 - 10 years. There’s a book called “Working Ourselves to Death” (1992) that goes into how physically, with extreme stress, you can work yourself into a spiral that can result in death. With extreme stress & overwork, you get into adrenal fatigue & evidently that brought on his autoimmune issues.
He went to a brain rehab center in TX & after that (plus finding out about the auto immune problem, etc.), I thought I heard him say he had another scan/test & his brain was looking ok, function was back to normal or close to it. I thought he was doing much better overall, although I know he really suffers with peripheral neuropathy - a close family member has it so I know how bad it can be.
I think he’s back on the stress wheel again with the state of the country, his views as to what needs to happen (unity, return to God, etc.) and it’s eating him up. He’s been very tired with a lot of travel. He had to take a month off to rest his vocal cords ... all signs he’s doing too much again, IMO. Anyway, I hope he can find some sort of happy medium & peace - he has a nice family & they need him.
Maybe Glenn should take a year (or two) off, then, to rehab/recuperate and focus on his family.
He feels “called” and driven to do something about the state of the country, babies being butchered, the threat of Islam/ISIS, the state of the world, Obama giving Iran nukes ... pretty much all the horrible stuff going on now. I don’t think he’ll willingly take off, but something has to/is going to “give”. I’m not a Beck “fan” as such, but I think his heart is in the right place even if how he acts on that is a little weird and I follow what is up with him more out of curiosity. I do keep him & his family in my prayers.

I turned on Beck one morning during the Bundy standoff and was absolutely flabbergasted by what I heard. He went ballistic on conservatives who supported Bundy, and he did it with the snarky, SNL-Style nastiness that I so despise in the left, complete with those two mocking, jabberwocky idiot savants who “yup yup yup” and giggle along with everything he says. I turned him off that day and have never ventured there again. Took The Blaze off my bookmarks, and “unfriended” all social feeds connected to him (at his request, I might add). Haven’t listened to a damn thing he’s said since.
Instead of bringing people together, which he says he wants to do, he’s pushing a lot of people away. BTW, I have never liked “sidekicks” on radio shows, especially GB’s.
