Presidential contender Donald Trump is going after Rolling Stone in the latest of a series of attacks against the media, saying the magazines editors added a lot of garish stuff to his controversial interview.
Trump said on Thursday that the author of the interview called to apologize for the way it was edited.
The writer actually called me and said, Im so upset, I wrote this great story and [publisher] Jann Wenner screwed it up he told me that, Trump said on CNNs New Day. They added a lot of stuff, a lot of garish stuff, that I think is disgusting.
Trump conceded the piece had moments of beauty and greatness, noting that the photographer was good.
The GOP primary front-runner has drawn criticism for comments he made about former Hewlett Packard CEO Carly Fiorina in the Rolling Stone interview.
Look at that face! Trump said of Fiorina in the interview. Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?!
Trump later clarified the remark, saying he was talking about Fiorinas persona.
Fiorina told Fox Newss Megyn Kelly that shes not going to spend a single cycle wondering what Donald Trump means.
Trump has previously been criticized for comments about women that have been perceived as misogynistic.

Look at Wenner's eyes. High or what?
When the rag turned the Boston Bomber into a teen idol, Trump should have known better.

The Donald needs to have every interview, and every phone call with the press/media whores, recorded in full by his own people.

But unanswered in all this attack, denial and added confusion by the wrier is a question- did Trump actually make the comments he’s quoted as saying? Because I do not hear him denying it. I hear ..what I MEANT was...

Now that the name Jann Wenner comes out, I’m kinda surprised, too. He’s been involved in smears before. My memory is that he’s a scumbag.

“Im glad he was able to quote the writer as being betrayed by the editor (also named).”
Could that get the writer in trouble? Did Trump have the writer’s permission to be quoted? Seems unusual but Trump has done this sort of thing before.
To: A CA Guy
Well Trumps persona is to get people to look for an escape...so blaming someone else works. He knows this because he does likewise effectively...getting other people to check their steps and off his missteps. “The art o the deal I would guess comes into play...which isn't about the deal as much as keeping your opponent off guard so you can set the game..

It’s celebrity corner where any press is better then none good or bad....and generally both sides come out favorable for that in name recognition....key to success in their business as is Trumps.

Donald, you know what Rolling Stone is. Why the hell did you ever agree to an interview with them?

My point is you are quick to side with RS and their integrity. Why give them the benefit of the doubt. Based on past performance they don’t deserve it.
