He didn’t say it in public. It was a casual comment made in a private setting, the only issue being a reporter was present, and like any slithering liberal slime, will report on anything and everything that could bury a Republican.

In this case, apologizing to Carly would be manning up. His remark was totally uncalled for.
If he said it in front of a reporter it’s a public remark. Trump knows the media. He’s not stupid.
