Trump has skillfully and expertly tapped into the anger of people towards career politicians and crony capitalism.
He fritters away that capital with rude comments about the physical appearance of a competitor.

“Is this the sort of man that you want in the White House?”.......
We all have to admit, Trump could use some polish. On the other hand, he has some great attributes that this county so badly needs. I’d like to see him tone it down a bit but keep on the attack in a more civil way. Have his numbers slipped due to his aggressive attacks? You be the judge.

He needs some “polish?”
He’s about to turn 70, too late for that.

She does not have a good negotiating look and was one of the first to tear into Trump. Jeb’s face just irritates me...same with hers. Donald ‘s face means business and it’s business time.

She was the first to attack, sorry Carly. Have you noticed that when trump says one thing thats slightly non-PC, these so called conservatives inner PC comes out just like a DEM, strange huh.

I just read the Rolling Stone interview. Excellent!!!!! Here's an excerpt: "I'm owned by the people!" Trump says. "I mean, I'm telling you, I'm no angel, but I'm gonna do right by them!" But the answer to my question is ringing in the air specifically, in the echo of Trump's accent. He was raised around lunch-pail guys in Queens and learned to talk like them trailing his father to building sites. He shares the syntax and sympathies of meat-and-potatoes types, and has crafted his message for their ears expressly, calling out the enemies on their list. In New Hampshire, I watched that huge crowd come to a boil as he took dead aim at corporate greed. "When the head of Ford calls me up and he says, 'Mr. President, we really want to build this plant in Mexico,' I'll say, 'Congratulations . . . we're gonna charge you a 35 percent tax on every car and truck and part that comes in!' 'But you can't dooo that, Mr. President!' Trust me, I can do it and what happens is, they probably fold by 5 p.m." Read more: http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/trump-seriously-20150909#ixzz3lKfesA00 Follow us: @rollingstone on Twitter | RollingStone on Facebook

I really think a person’s looks should be off limits. It’s like race jokes - say what you want behind closed doors in private company but not in public. Nothing to be gained and a lot to lose. Plenty of other issues surrounding Carly like her praise for islam and Hillary. That does it for me.

I just read the Rolling Stone article. Of course it was written weeks ago. The quote was taken out of context. Trump is watching TV with the interviewer, and on screen they're talking about the other candidates. Walker, Bush, Fiorina etc. all of whom at the time were taking shots at Trump...he casually comments on all of them, including the comments about CArli's face as the new president. He doesn't take any of his competitors seriously, and the RS article is going to boost his ratings with the democrats. Here's an excerpt from the ariticle: "I'm owned by the people!" Trump says. "I mean, I'm telling you, I'm no angel, but I'm gonna do right by them!" But the answer to my question is ringing in the air specifically, in the echo of Trump's accent. Imagine when any face talk gets directed to hillary! Maybe the msm can go after trumps hair some more but hillary’s face can not be defended.
To: newfreep
Her comments about Boxer’s hair were not helpful. Sticking to issues is good advice - back then and now.

I don't expect you or any other Trump haters to read any thing written by the man, or even in this case the RS article. I just read it. It's excellent. The Carli comment is taken out of context, and put in there because, let's face it, a lot people, on the left and on the right, do not like her... Trump is like no other person we've seen. He's more American than all of us now and in the past. You see the good, the bad and the ugly in him, even though as a person, he is pretty straight. No smoking, drinking, vices, good work ethic, his kids are fine etc. Here's an excerpt: "I'm owned by the people!" Trump says. "I mean, I'm telling you, I'm no angel, but I'm gonna do right by them!" But the answer to my question is ringing in the air specifically, in the echo of Trump's accent. “With his blue tie loosened and slung over his shoulder, Trump sits back to digest his meal and provide a running byplay to the news. Onscreen, they’ve cut away to a spot with Scott Walker, the creaky-robot governor of Wisconsin. Praised by the anchor for his “slow but steady” style, Walker is about to respond when Trump chimes in, “Yeah, he’s slow, all right! That’s what we got already: slowwww.”
His staffers at the conference table howl and hoot; their man, though, is just getting warm.
When the anchor throws to Carly Fiorina for her reaction to Trump’s momentum, Trump’s expression sours in schoolboy disgust as the camera bores in on Fiorina. “Look at that face!” he cries. “Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?!”
The laughter grows halting and faint behind him. “I mean, she’s a woman, and I’m not s’posedta say bad things, but really, folks, come on. Are we serious?”

“Yet another day, yet another Donald Trump grotesquerie.”
I stay up on Trump fairly closely, and his gaffes do not mount up as you claim. Why exaggerate so intensely? I mean, if you listen to the media, EVERYTHING he says is a gaffe, especially calling for a fence on the Mexican border, or talking about the crime wave instigated by illegals, etc.
Knowing you are a Cruz fan, maybe you are the one that can explain the following: Last night, on Hannity, Cruz, all pumped up and passionate from the rally, mentioned how he has fought the Corker bill in the Senate. However, Cruz voted for the Corker bill. Tom Cotton was the only Republican senator who did not vote for the monstrosity.
I’ve had people chastise me on this site for what I say about Cruz. It is his votes I recount, and his follow up explanations that drive me up a wall. Some people act as if he is the modern day incarnation of the Constitution, while he votes to upend the treaty protection of the Constitution and votes for the Obama agenda, again. The he campaigns against his own vote.

I don’t hate Trump.
It’s very telling that you begin your defense of a very flawed man that way.
I certainly think he is not fit for office.
