Why Scott Walker Won’t Take a Position on the US Accepting Refugees
ABC ^ | September 8, 2015 | Jordyn Phillips

As Europe grapples with the mass migration of more than 300,000 refugees fleeing war in Syria, Republican presidential candidate Scott Walker won’t say whether the United States should open its doors to absorb more of the migrants.

Walker’s reason for not taking a stand is that he says it would be hypothetical for him to do so since he is not currently the president.

“I'm not president today and I can't be president today,” the Republican presidential candidate and Wisconsin governor said when asked by ABC News during a press gaggle on Monday what he would to address the current refugee crisis if he were president currently. “Everybody wants to talk about hypotheticals; there is no such thing as a hypothetical.”

Pathetic cowardice. We’ve seen more than enough of that from the republicans to last ten lifetimes. Goodbye walker and FU.

BTW a the correct answer to the question is the refugees are a muslim problem, and muslims should deal with it. No refugees need to come here.

Refugees? Europe and America will have to fight ISIS within their own borders. These are mostly terrorists, and future terrorists, not refugees.

The question we need to be asking ourselves is, why are politicians so eager to release these terrorists, and future terrorists, into our midst? Since they know full well, as we all do, death, murder, mayhem, and destruction, will follow.

Some people just fall apart once they get out of the old pond. They just aren’t build for oceangoing politics. I had the same disappointment with Rick Perry in 2012. Didn’t even give him much thought this time.

Yes. Agreed. Based on what he accomplished in a national sh— storm with the unions and then his unofficial launch in the spring, I had higher hopes. He looked like a guy with great instincts and ability to maneuver the minefield of politics. Now, he’s stumbling all over himself.
