During Fox News live coverage of Kentucky clerk Kim Davis release from prison, anchor Shepard Smith suddenly spoke over the press conference to chastise Davis and those who supported her decision to refuse to issue gay marriage licenses.
They set this up as a religious play again, he said. This is the same crowd that says, We dont want Sharia law, dont let them tell us what to do, keep their religion out of our lives and out of our government. Well, here we go again.
When this started, this lawyer said he needed an accommodation for a woman who wanted one. She said she didnt want her name on a license for gay people, Smith said. Now theyve come up with one, theyve let her out of jail But its not what they want.
This is what they want, what youre hearing now and this what theyre going to get: stirred up argument and a couple of days in the news cycle, and theyre going to be able to make these claims.
Smith argued the Supreme Court had already ruled on the issue of gay marriage, and the issued was settled. This is not unprecedented. They did it when they said black and white people couldnt marry.
In the end, he concluded, Haters are going to hate. We thought what this woman wanted was an accommodation, which theyve granted her, something that worked for everybody. But its not what they want.
Watch, via Fox News:
I think Shep doth protest to much. Faggot.
Thanks for the horrible mind picture Jim...
Kim was roundly criticized by Dana PeRino and the others on “The Five”. The usual “It’s the law SCOTUS has spoken” “Do your job or quit” and “move-on it’s settled law”.
Not once did any of “The Five” mention the lawlessness of Obama, Immigration Law, “Sanctuary Cities”, Planned Parenthood, or any other government officials who routinely ignore the law.
Fox News is just another propaganda organ of the Washington Cartel. Nothing more, nothing less.
When is Sheppy going to give it up and just come out of the closet?
.
Liberals want to arrest us for not getting our children vaccinated because they say it will stop the spread of disease.
Yet when we simply try to stop the government from encouraging homosexual behavior, notorious for spreading disease, by not giving marriage benefits for it, liberals also want to throw us in jail.
It’s not about right or wrong or legal vs. illegal. It’s about a war of ideology where they say their beliefs are superior to ours and we must submit to them. They have no better rationale than that for their persecution of us.
They set this up as a religious play again, he said. This is the same crowd that says, We dont want Sharia law, dont let them tell us what to do, keep their religion out of our lives and out of our government. Well, here we go again.
First of this I have heard...
Most of the time Fox News is NOT on TV in my house.
Getting less and less air time with me.
If they come for me in the morning. I will be right here.
LOL - Shep “comes out” swinging.
Does...does...does that mean ol Shep IS OUT OF THE CLOSET??
Shepard Smith should have been fired 10 years ago when he reported that there was cannbalism in the Super Dome during Katrina. That showed that Ailes didnt care if his employees reported the truth.
Anytime I want to even consider watching FOX News I just walk a half mile down to my Moms house and she has it on. Then I remember real quick why I never have in on in my house. Mom has it on to vent LOL. Bless her heart she's 84, a life long Conservative, and is seeing her nation destroyed. If TV was interactive I don't think they'd like what they hear coming from her mouth. LOL.
Well Sheppie, haters gonna hate I guess but fags like you will always be stupid too.
I would stop watching him as a protest. But I stopped watching him a long time ago.
Indded, quite.
Been awhile since I've heard "Utne Reader". Hilarious.
At least this eye liner wearing jerk-off is not on at 7PM anymore. But now he runs a news division at Fox? And makes 6 million a year so I hear
I have never heard him described as a conservative.
