Conservatives who believe as I do that stopping immigration is everything ought to consider that the wish is not necessarily the father of the fact and they ought to consider that Trump's policy paper on immigration does not always match up to his rhetoric and in any event his whole approach is chaotic. He will deport everyone and then re-admit "fantastic" people! Only someone desperate in their desire to stop immigration can read that as a coherent policy. How many?
