Probably about as much as those elected to Congress the past two elections did. The people gave them a repub house & senate and they did nothing with it.

Any president can reverse executive orders and make their own if they are so inclined. It depends on what they will do when in office. In order to have a good idea what they will do you have to look at their past histories and records. Not just what they say they are going to do. As we all know, candidates will promise you the moon.

Yes, just enforcing the immigration laws we have will go far. But you also have to be able to get the funding out of congress for building a wall and everything else you want to do. Without the co-operation of congress we have another president going rogue and issuing executive orders. There is more than needs to be done besides immigration. I think anyone outside of the GOPE is going to have issues with Congress.

But we don’t want a president who is constantly “reaching across the aisle” either. Cruz has already proven that he will go against the herd, his own party for what he believes. I couldn’t be sure of anything with Trump.

I have to disagree with you there. You have more confidence & belief in that than I do. This hasn’t been successful so far. Our representatives don’t seem to really care what the majority of us want and don’t seem afraid of not being re-elected in many cases. Once a senator is in office they are there for a long time. They don’t worry about what we think until the year they are up for re-election.

Standing up and calling them out on it doesn’t seem to motivate the public much. I can’t see how Trump, who is probably the most disliked is going to fare any better than the second most hated Ted Cruz and Cruz is better educated and equipped to handle the job IMO.

I think that the GOPE would co-operate with a Bush, Fiorina, or Rubio but not a Cruz or Trump.
