The difference here is that there was no law that Kim Davis was breaking. The Supreme court might have invalidated Kentucky’s existing laws on marriage, but they did not and could not create a new law.

On the other hand I’m sure the duties of a flight attendant are clearly spelled out and agreed to when employment commences.

The other difference is that Kim is in jail and this Moon-God worshipper will probably end up laughing all the way to the bank.

Goes to show that their are certain people out there trying to get the law to work in such a way that they can have their cake & eat it,too. Then they want to prevent it from working this way for others. We need something we don’t have right now in this country.....real leadership.

The Supreme court might have invalidated Kentucky’s existing laws on marriage, but they did not and could not create a new law.

The ruling only invalidated that part of state laws that prevented them from issuing marriage licenses to same sex couples. The balance of the laws remained in effect. So there is a law in place that Kim Davis was violating when she refused to issue marriage licenses. That is her whole position; complying with the law and issuing marriage licenses to same sex couples violates her deeply held religious beliefs and she cannot in good conscience abide by the law. Not that there is no law that allowed marriage licenses to be issued in the first place.
