Seems like Trump has the same challenges that Reagan had in communicating that what he is for is what many Dems really are for. Reagan did that becasue he was a great communicator. Once in office, he accomplished it because he was a great negotiator. I see a similarity with Trump, not on all the issues (yet), but in his communication and negotiation abilities, both essential in winning and executing.
I guess I don’t see him as this great communicator personally. Maybe part of that is because I’m pretty much Cruz all the way and so I don’t set aside time to specifically listen to a whole Trump speech. As far as that goes, I don’t necessarily set time aside to listen to a whole Cruz speech.
But he certainly doesn’t have the same style and tone of communicating that Reagan did. Quite frankly, I see that more in Cruz, and yes I am a Cruz guy I admit, than I do Trump. The humility, the sincerity, the low key sense of humor- I think both Cruz and Reagan have/had that, as well as of course the ability to articulate their points brilliantly.
Trump articulates some things well and other things he just seems to get lost on. I understand there are things he’s still trying to learn.
