The Kentucky clerk has gained national-wide attention for her refusal to issue gay couples a marriage license in spite of the Supreme Court's landmark ruling in June that same-sex couples have the right to marry.
Davis, who has lived in Rowan County all her life, has repeatedly cited "God's authority" as her reason for defying the federal courts and denying the marriage licenses.

She’s not the ideal spokesperson for the Christian right.
Did she have the same views the first time she was married? The 2nd? 3rd? Did she have those views when she had children out of wedlock? If she did, she might check the plank in her eye.
That said, I certainly don’t believe she should have been sent to jail.
LOLOLOL. Annuled by the church???? The church is not our sovereign god. The One True God in Heaven is our true God. Just like the woman at the well that was married 5 times and then living with someone, Jesus Christ told her she was forgiven and then to go and sin no more.
No one, contrary to what the catholic church espouses, needs to be forgiven or annuled or anything, by the church. That is God’s and God’s alone. I highly recommend you read His Word prior to casting stones.

Adultery is the worse sin, it is condemned more often and more prominently than is homosexuality. While I am personally intuitively repulsed more by the latter, the Biblical position is that adultery is the greater crime against God’s law.
It is bizarre to me too see people who are crusading against homosexuality and at the same time are totally willing to give a pass to adultery. Widespread adultery is the very reason the concept of marriage has been degraded to the point where the homosexual claim on it is taken seriously.

My Christian FRiends, is it true what I heard on the radio (Bill Handel) earlier, that according to Christianity only Christian marriages are sanctified? That by the same argument this clerk could refuse also to give marriage licenses to Buddhists, Jews, or Hindus? Or atheists or wiccans?
I think her refusal was wrong, but I don’t support her being jailed. It’s just that Jews have been asked to put their religion aside so often. Many business events take place on Friday evenings or Saturdays. There are even important things taking place on Yom Kippur sometimes. We always have to come up with responses to these dilemmas and I think she handled it poorly. Quit, resign. Be powerful within yourself. Your boss isn’t always of your religion. We have to live with other people’s religions. It’s part of life.

I personally would not be surprised if this Democrat were a double-agent. If she’s so faithful to God’s laws, how can she adhere to the Democrats and their devotion to infanticide?
