These same people who are attacking you and me would be OUTRAGED and demand prosecution. I'm a Trump fan, but I think this was a stupid move by the guard. Obviously the sign wasn't blocking the path because he apparently was the last of the entourage to enter the building. Everyone else apparently managed to get through without stealing the sign.
Is that the best you can do?
I’m looking at this from a legal standpoint, not a political one. Did you see the video? What was the guard doing with the sign? Was he part of the protest?

And if I was blocking an entrance to private property and preventing people from entering I would expect that my sign may be taken and I would be asked to leave. Your first amendment rights end on private property. And you have no right to block people from entering buildings.
Odds are this person with the sign isn’t even here legally so as far as I am concerned they have no rights at all if that is the case.
What I noticed is that the guy got off way too easy. He's in front of a building with security all over the place. I don't know why the guard walked off with the large signs, but if they were being held up too near an entrance pushed in people's faces, they're a hazard, as someone pointed out, since bad guys use them as screens for weapons.
There's no free-speech right to stick a sign in someone's face. That's battery. But as I say, I don't know, because the tape doesn't show that part.
But if someone were walking away with my valuable sign, I might try to grab my sign. I wouldn't jump on his back, and especially I wouldn't reach around a security guard with both arms unless I seriously wanted to get shot.
The grabber is flicked away with a backhand shove, and then handled by a second guard—but the Mex then tries to jump on his back. That's not someone with an opinion. That's a hired thug. Reminds me of a paid union dirty-tricks specialist who has no other trade. Screw him. I'm sorry he got off so easy.

You are correct. LEO would laugh at a strong arm charge for an obstructing sign. Guy could face offer than the assault charge for blocking entrance to major building
California under this Jerry Brown in the 70s gave us unions in governmnt. They have been growing in pay and numbers along with welfare.
We have OVER a third of all national welfare in California.

As you can see in this video anyone on the sidewalk wishing to enter the building was free to do so.

There was a pro-life demonstration at a California College where a professor stole a sign and then shoved one of the people who tried to get it back. Everyone on Free Republic demanded that she be prosecuted. She was prosecuted for assault and robbery and fired from her job. Unless this guy was legally justified (I don't see it in the video) in taking the sign, then he should be prosecuted and fired. Goose/Gander.
Don't confuse these people with the facts.
Think of fire regulations for a public building vs obstructing the entrance. Probably more than one rule was broken
