On the other hand, doctors are quite good at crisis management.
I beg to differ, Mr. Trump. Most private practices are small businesses, and hire nurses and office staff.
I will tell me buddies at the Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic that the 30,000 employees they have are just an illusion because The Donald said so
they create plenty of jobs for attorneys
Donald said that Carson had a few nurses, assistants but that he himself had created tens of thousands of jobs.
Donald’s track record on employment is statistically significant.
Ben Carson’s record on employments is statically zero.
Carson is a good man but he has not experience in what it takes to foster deals that create millions of jobs.
Trump can make trade deals leading to the creation of millions of jobs by spurring new industries or expanding existing ones. He can also stop the hemorrhaging of American jobs going outside the USA.
leveraged real estate speculators and reality TV personalities are the real engines of job growth, everyone knows that.
My first job was as an office receptionist/accounts receivable/scheduler person in 1976 for a single practioner who also employed 2 RN’s and a CNA. He was a pediatrician. My husband and I forgot to have kids :)
Presidents don’t really “create jobs” either, unless they expand federal hiring.
The skills needed to create jobs as an employer and the ones needed to foster high employment in the economy as a President really have nothing to do with each other.
In this respect Trump and Carson are equally qualified (or unqualified).
I like what Donald is saying out there..but he's wrong on this point.
I know Doc's that have invested in LTAC's, boutique hospitals, pizza places....etc.
It’s not the job of government to create jobs. Businesses create jobs. That is why corporate taxes should be lowered so that businesses can invest more of their money into growing their business. Growing businesses = more jobs. More jobs = more tax payers. More tax payers = more taxes for the government to waste. Now if we could just get rid of the waste.....
A Monmouth University poll of Iowa released Monday showed Trump tied with Carson for first place though Trump
************************************************************************
They keep saying that, when in reality, Trump was 5 points ahead of Carson in that Poll. Since the margin of error was 5 points, they called it a tie. Had Carson been 5 points ahead of Trump, would they have called it a tie? I doubt it very much.
Besides all that, there has been a more recent poll, by the same organization, that shows Trump way ahead of Carson.
How odd. I used to work for a doctor.
Trump ( and others ) are right
Carson is a nice man but a complete unknown as a manager of anything much less the national security of the United States
"Ideas have consequences"(Weaver).
The ideas of 1776 came out of a set of ideas consistent with liberty.
We tend to forget, or have never considered, that other world views existed then, as now.
Unless today's citizens rediscover the ideas of liberty existing in what Jefferson called "the American mind" of 1776, we risk going back to the "Old World" ideas which preceded the "Miracle of America."
There are those who call themselves "progressives," when, in fact, their ideas are regressive and enslaving, and as old as the history of civilization.
Would suggest to any who wish an authentic history of the ideas underlying American's founding a visit to this web site, at which Richard Frothingham's outstanding 1872 "History of the Rise of the Republic of the United States" can be read on line.
This 600+-page history traces the ideas which gave birth to the American founding. Throughout, Richard Frothingham, the historian, develops the idea that it is "the Christian idea of man" which allowed the philosophy underlying the Declaration of Independence and Constitution to become a reality--an idea which recognizes the individual and the Source of his/her "Creator"-endowed life, liberty and law.
Is there any wonder that the enemies of freedom, the so-called "progressives," do not promote such authentic histories of America? Their philosophy puts something called "the state," or "global interests" as being superior to individuals and requires a political elitist group to decide what role individuals are to play.
In other words, they must turn the Founders' ideas upside-down in order to achieve a common mediocrity for individuals and power for themselves.
For too long in America, we have called Democrats "liberals," when, in fact, they are and have stood for ideas which are the antithesis of "classical liberalism."
Now, and for the past several decades they have morphed into and now identify themselves as "progressives," a term which, in itself, is misleading. The so-called "progressive" philosophy is, in fact, most regressive, for it advocates failed ideas which lead to tyranny and oppression, not to freedom, opportunity, productivity, and plenty. "Progressive" ideas are more aptly described by the word "socialist."
In that sense, perhaps Bernie Sanders is their real candidate after all.
Piss poor attack on Dr. Carson by Trump.
Very weak. Donald is scared.
On this I stand with Trump. Carson is probably a great guy but we need a fighter in the WH...
Hey, Trump, neither does the government create jobs. Is he running for president or CEO? Does he know the difference?
Doctors are great at creating jobs....for front desk paper pushers and lawyers. But who cares? Their focus is medical treatment, not jobs.
