Hillary Clintons press secretary says he doesnt know what the word wiped means in reference to his bosss private email server.
I dont know what wiped means, Brian Fallon told CNNs Brianna Keilar on Thursday in response to whether the server Clinton handed over to the FBI was wiped.
Theres been no I dont know what wiped means, literally the emails were deleted off of the server, thats true, he repeated later in the interview.
Clinton, who is seeking the Democratic nomination for president, previously joked that she also did not understand the word in that context.
Like with a cloth or something? Clinton replied at an August press conference when asked whether she wiped her server.
The Republican National Committee mocked the claim by selling server wipes on their website store.
Bryan Pagliano, an ex-Clinton staffer who managed the former secretary of States private email server, sent a letter to Congress on Monday saying he would plead the Fifth if forced to testify before the House Select Committee on Benghazi.
Pagliano is scheduled to appear before the House Benghazi Committee on Sept. 10.
The FBI launched an investigation into a private email server Clinton used during her time as secretary of State, which many perceive as a threat to national security.
A review of thousands of pages of emails that Clinton received and wrote found several that had lines blacked out by the State Department, indicating that they contained classified material, according to a report on Wednesday.

Clinton replied at an August press conference when asked whether she wiped her server. So, does Brian Fallon suppose that 'server' is code for 'butt crack'?

So she decided she wanted her own mail server, and hired some schmuck who doesn't know what it means to "wipe" a server to administer, maintain, and secure it.
And that's the "best case" scenario.

Anyone able to accumulate hundreds of million$ through criminal enterprise can't very well pretend to be too stupid or ignorant to know what "wipe the computer, or specifically the hard drive" means...
But someone known to be dishonest since she was 23, probably is also an expert at faking amnesia, too. It's in the Congressional Record...

Wiped in this case means using a screwdriver (philips) to removing the hard drive, and replacement with a brand new clean “wiped” drive.
In the case of RAID, this is done to the bunch of drives, sequentially, so that in the end, all of the drives are wiped into “new”.

These people think they are smarter than us, more sophisticated than regular folks, more worldly, more tech savvy, more "with it" than the rest of America.
But they don't know that? After how many months of missing e-mails and erased data in the news?

If you weren't old enough during the Klintoon years or you've forgotten how they are, you must always keep in mind that questions are answered from a lawyer's perspective. For example, you will never hear Her Heinous say she doesn't remember something. Instead, it's some variation of not being able to recall or recollect which apparently allows people to legally claim ignorance of something they know.
And that brings us to a wiped server which is a colloquial term for a completely erased server and therefore something that the Klintoons and their minions can claim to not know because it's colloquial. There is no way they're going to get tangled up with an imprecise term that would have to be precisely defined in a courtroom, but could bite them in the tuchus if they agreed to it outside. So keep using wiped and expect the same non-answers.
This is not to say that asking detailed and precisely worded questions about the disposition of the server wouldn't also elicit non-answers. It's just that wiped makes it too easy for them to dodge.

I think it's a legitimate answer. What does wipe the server mean:
Delete the messages?
Delete the messages, then empty the recycle bin?
Delete the messages, then empty the recycle bin, then write over the deleted space?
Do the above, then delete the software?
Do the above, then reformat the drives?
Do the above, then remove and physically destroy the drives?
Do the above, and then erase the backup tapes.
Etc.
