Complicated situation because she is an elected official. She could resign, otherwise the legislature has to vote to impeach her. I have no idea of that outcome.

I think she should live with the law of the land which unfortunately the SCROTUS got WRONG. However, she is a hero who is taking a bold stand for her beliefs. God wants her to serve as a reminder of what is happening to Amerika. God bless her.

SCOTUS decision was lawless. You couldn't be more wrong. This is why we lose: Conservatives who know nothing.

If the legislature wants to impeach her, let them. The judge is afraid they won’t.

Kentucky Constitutional Amendment 1[1] of 2004, is an amendment to the Kentucky Constitution that makes it unconstitutional for the state to recognize or perform same-sex marriages or civil unions. The referendum was approved by 75% of the voters.[2]

The text of the amendment states:

Only a marriage between one man and one woman shall be valid or recognized as a marriage in Kentucky. A legal status identical or substantially similar to that of marriage for unmarried individuals shall not be valid or recognized.[3]

Today, we have observed the first casualty of post-Christian America’s persecution of Christians.

SCOTUS decided to invalidate the existing KY marriage laws because they say man & woman. The laws have NOT been replaced.

The county clerk, in absence of actual written and approved law, has no authority to issue any marriage license.

Ergo, she is the only clerk in KY actually following the law.
