I think he got another day or two of airtime for signing off on a pledge that every other candidate signed as a matter of course. Personally, I think it was a mistake for him to sign. However, I don’t think it a big mistake, nor do I think it hurts him much at this point, either. Jebito and the Chamber of Cronies were going to run their “Death to America...and Trump” campaign anyway. So I don’t see that it changes that one iota.
I think that Trump has enough of the vote locked up that he could scuttle any other gop candidates campaign in the general. And I think that’s probably the reason why he decided the upside was better than the downside risk.
Like I say, I think it was a mistake because it’s a one party system and the gop will happily lose the election to get one of their cronies in the rat faction elected. I don’t think its a huge deal though.
He’s not going to run third party. He would have to raise $1 billion. He’s not stupid enough to spend his own money.
LOL!
I take thst back. I think I just figured out what he pulled. It’ll never be proved, but if he did what I think he did, he just secured his flank.
Don’t think it was a mistake.
Trump is clever, he is betting he will get the nomination and when he gets the nomination the other candidates are stuck. . .why. . because the other candidates signed the same pledge and when Trump gets the nomination all those other candidates are required to throw their support to him because, after all, he will be the republican nominee.
Clever.
