Ted Cruz may be off the GOPe reservation, or he might not be. His Corker and TPP votes, his sources of funding, and his working with McConnell until he denounced him are all troublesome.
Anyway, Ted Cruz is moot point until he moves up in the polls. The election is a long way off, and perhaps that will happen. Perhaps a Cruz/Trump alliance is in the making. We shall see.
Carson? Better than the rest, but like Trump, he fails the “True Conservative” test, and frankly I find the idea of him generating the necessary fire and enthusiasm needed for what amounts to a bloodless revolution unlikely, even more unlikely than Ted Cruz doing so.
If a conservative like Cruz or an outsider like Carson takes the White House, it’ll be because Trump has made it possible by outing the Republican Party as the frauds they are. The rest of the GOP field are merely tools at best, or more likely co-conspirators in the rigged game.
