Ronald Reagan had a history of core principles that he never deviated from. Pick any issue - abortion, taxes, immigrants, government spending, health care, you name it - and Trump has taken a position in the not-so-distant past that is different from his position now. We know where he says he stands today. But how long before he changes that stance yet again?
I still think Ronald Reagan is fantastic but I remember him as Governor letting a bill pass permitting abortion. As President he went along with a nationwide amnesty. Ronnie made some big mistakes.

He actually did — but in a good way. In his younger years he was pro-union and was head of one of the actors’ unions — maybe SAG. Later, he defied a strong union when he fired the air traffic controllers.
