I’m so ^%#*^% mad about this! My wife came from another country. I had to sign paperwork saying she would not be on any kind of public assistance for five years. Mow people come in the country illegally and their first stop is the welfare office. My wife is P.O. about this too.

I’m so ^%#*^% mad about this! My wife came from another country. I had to sign paperwork saying she would not be on any kind of public assistance for five years. Mow people come in the country illegally and their first stop is the welfare office. My wife is P.O. about this too. Ditto for me and my wife, we are carbon copies of each other in this regard. I had to prove to the INS that I had enough income to support her...which I didn't mind, because it made sense to me (and still does). What infuriates me is the current system, and how nakedly it feeds the Democratic Party. That the GOPe hasn't seen this (or, maybe, just doesn't care) is why I am supporting Trump at this point. Enough is enough!

That paperwork is still signed it is just that is not enforced...and never has been.
When I first went to work for the welfare department here in 1980 I had a legal immigrant come in and sign up for MediCal. California’s Medicaid. She brought her green card and everything. I went to my supervisor and said...but don’t they sign something saying they won’t receive aid? Her answer was...oh we don’t pay any attention to that.
