Give me a break. Lincoln was a leader, and ultimately THE leader, on the central moral question of his day. So much so that those who opposed that moral agenda were willing to go to war when he was elected.

Trump is no leader on any of the moral questions of our day, much less the most important ones.

Which was my original point.

You're dodging now. You cited Trump's morals or lack thereof, yet I have proven to you that Lincoln did NOT say what, at least, Trump has said. Lincoln was NOT a Christian as of 1862. He said so. Was Lincoln lying? You may not believe Trump, but do you believe Lincoln?

And the original point was that God raises up whom He pleases, and they don't fit our models very often, which was PRECISELY why he raised up a non-Christian, Lincoln, in our most trying time. Because He knew Lincoln's heart. But you think you know a man's heart better than Him.

Interesting.
