“Resisting arrest is not a valid reason for shooting someone.”
Unfortunately, both statements are correct today. The absolutely best thing today is to NEVER have ANY CONTACT with a cop! All lives should matter, but for the cops, only theirs do!
Yeah. You could fail to turn over your cellphone as a 14 year old 90lb high school girl and the cops will still body slam you to the ground and grind you into the earth with their knees.

When I was a kid "Stop Or I Will Shoot" meant exactly that and everyone knew it and acted accordingly.
