Every sin, including in fact any kind of murder whether you do it with a bomb, abortion or a baseball bat, can be absolved by sacramental Confession, if it is accompanied by true contrition and a sincere turning away from this sin.
The sin is forgiven by Jesus Christ, not by the priest.
Or do you think any sin can be forgiven by Christ, except murder?

It is not surprising to read a catholic insisting that the catholic priest speaks for Christ, since that religion teaches adherents that their priests bring Jesus down from Heaven, body, blood, soul and DIVINITY in a wafer their priests hold up for eating, to get the god-life in the eaters. But apparently the pope of that religion has to dole out this special abortion dispensation through his priesthood. Disgusting religion, that.

Thank you for your explanation(s)... not Catholic... so your responses(s) have been clear and concise...
Just a few questions... Must you go to a priest to ask for forgiveness and can he withhold it? If he can withhold it, does that not make him equal to God in discerning a man's heart when the Bible states that only He has such power?
As for excommunication, protestant churches have forms of such as well... members can be asked to leave until thay repent and demonstrate a life worthy of memborship.
