Real estate magnate Trump has spent weeks dominating the Republican field, and has emerged as a credible White House candidate for many voters in Iowa, the first crucible of the 2016 nominating contest.
But with Carsons stellar showing in a series of recent polls in Iowa and nationwide, and another survey showing Senator Bernie Sanders nipping at Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clintons heels, the second-place candidates are exhibiting considerable power on the campaign trail.

As much as I want to believe you.........I’m very leery.
I don’t think so.
That would be tough to beat
“What has Trump done to harm the USA?”
Nothing, he’s harming the earning power of the GOPe and the US Chamber of Communists!
The bureaucracy will never get the chance to eat him alive because the GOPe will first in the primary. He will never have the money to compete with Bush’s $100m war chest. If he ever got to the top of the polls, they would kill him with negative ads like they killed Gingrich and Santorum.
The key for the GOPe is to hype Carson up just enough to win Iowa and embarrass Trump out of the gate. There’s a huge chance Carson can win it as the kind of social conservative Iowans love to follow Huckabee and Santorum.
Carson has no chance in comparatively non-religious New Hampshire. That is where they’d have to find a different strategy to take down Trump. But if they can load all their firepower on him in NH and win, then Trump’s sunk. Trump will win South Carolina just as Gingrich did and it will be the kiss of death as it won’t carry elsewhere except in a few of the reddest states.
“Pull out with over a year to go until the caccus?”
Iowa Caucus is in 5 months.
Go Cruz!!!
I agree, but the same could happen to Trump. He won’t be able to snap his fingers and order people around. If he gets in he will have to use all his negotiating skills to get things changed. I’ll be very happy to support either man.
Not a whole lot better.
If Bush is the nominee I will vote third party. After last presidential election my best friend was visiting me from Ohio. She came to be with me for the election because I was running for County Supervisor and it was a big life moment and we always shared our big moments. She was my Maid of Honor and I was her Matron of Honor. Of course my election, which I won, was overshadowed by the disaster that was the Presidential election. The morning after, over a cup of coffee, my friend announced that she knew the only way the Republicans could win the next election...run Jeb Bush! I jokingly said with a smile that I wouldn’t vote for Bush if he were the next Messiah. My best friend, who was sitting in my home, drinking my coffee said, “That’s fitting, being your people killed our first one.” (She’s born again and I am Jewish) After shaking my head in disbelief, I asked her to apologize. She wouldn’t and she didn’t. That was the last time we ever spoke. I drove her to the airport in silence. If it weren’t for the fact that her wonderful husband was with her, I would have thrown her out of my house and told her to take a cab. My point? I lost my best friend over Jeb Bush and I feel the same way I felt that morning. Except moreso now.
OMG, Hildy - what a sad story. Just awful.
I know u r right. Once Trump wins the nomination, I hope he brings Carson in.
This is orchestrated by the GOP Establishment, Jeb in particular. They intend to split the Trump vote.
Team Jebs Newest Strategy Push Ben Carson?
Don't fall for it.
