Illegals hurt everyone at the bottom of the economic scale, and many in the middle (and that’s just on jobs - I haven’t touched taxes, crime, medical care or just plain forcing a different culture down the throats of those born here. The only ones that benefit are:

1) The Democratic Party - they haven’t won the white vote since at least 1948...so since they can’t convince the vast majority of people to go with them, they are simply saying, “Screw you, we’re going to bring in our own voters.” If they win on immigration, we lose on EVERY OTHER ISSUE. They will have 30 million (not 11 million, that was the probably conservative estimate of the number of illegals 10 years ago - what, there’s been no illegal immigration since then?) extra voters and will have a lock on Congress and the Presidency.

2) Big business - they just want cheap labor, and cannot look beyond the next quarter or year...to see that all of these people, if legalized, will mean higher taxes and more regulations. The H1B visas that everyone is so keen on (including, regrettably, Ted Cruz) mean that our STEM students will continue to be unemployed in larger numbers than they should be, all so that Microsoft, Facebook, et al can have cheap foreign labor...HERE, IN OUR COUNTRY.

2 (a) The Republican establishment - they get big donations from big business, so to Hell with the little guy. Plus, the little guy actually wants to cut back on DC’s power, so the GOPe isn’t going to cooperate. Once again, we get screwed.

3) The rich - they love their maids and gardeners (who wouldn’t?), but don’t want to pay Americans to do these jobs at a reasonable rate, plus pay employment taxes. Are their jobs affected by unskilled or cheap labor? Nope, so they don’t care.

4) The media - they are probably further to the left than even the Dems, so they revel in bringing this country down.

The only people who are screwed by a massive influx of people who go on welfare 71% of the time, who work under the table for cheap wages, get free medical care, don’t buy auto insurance, send their kids to school, and who REFUSE to assimilate in any substantive way are the 90% of us that actually work for a living and actually love their country.

This country and Canada are unique in the hemisphere for having a culture that was founded by English and Dutch settlers (and Canada is far more English than we are). The rest are Spanish or Portuguese (with a tiny bit of French). Sorry, this isn’t politically correct, but England and Holland are generally full of hard-working, law-abiding people who respect the rights of others. Their nations were very successful for hundreds of years...and so were we and Canada, who have similar cultures. FYI, I personally don’t have a drop of English or Dutch blood flowing through my veins - I am Jewish, with ancestry in Russia and Poland. But this culture that my ancestors came to, that they obtained a refuge from the chaos of Europe, is basically just, and is geared toward maximizing the success of individuals. My family adopted the culture, as did the vast majority of immigrants of the late 1800s and early 1900s. But Mediterranean cultures like Spain and Portugal are not so successful - the only reason they were rich, for a time, is that they looted thousands of tons of gold and silver from South and Central America. They TOOK, they didn’t make or produce. This applies EVEN MORE to the Arab and African cultures - they have no history or beliefs similar to ours, yet we are importing their people with reckless abandon, with predictable results. Yes, there are MANY good people from Latin, Arab and African nations, as well as from non-English and non-Dutch European nations...but the true success is the culture, into which most of these people have (unique among all immigrants, historically speaking) refused to assimilate. This is changing our culture for the worse...and if we don’t stop it soon, and allow the Democrats to control the elections, then this country is OVER.

Immigration is THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE IN THIS AND EVERY ELECTION. If we lose, and the amnesty is granted (dejure or defacto), then we lose on every other issue - defense, abortion, guns, taxes, regulations, foreign relations, EVERYTHING! That is why I am now for Trump, not Cruz. Cruz is very good, but I think that only Trump, as the consummate outsider with resources enough to tell everyone else where to go, can be elected. People respect his love of country and his willingness to fight - and they know that he doesn’t need more money for he and his kids and grandkids to live a fantasy life. He is doing this because he loves the country that gave him so much, and wants it preserved.

Great post. We do,however, actually have at least 40% of LEGAL Hispanics who do want illegals deported and effective border control; to keep their kids in school and out of the gangs. This includes both urban and agricultural areas where I have lived for 45 years and seen these demographics develop. Most are conservative, do not want to see government by cartel here and are willing to stand-up to prevent it. So hang-in there.Help may be on the way.
