If we were really concerned about American workers we would not be bringing in 1.1 million LEGAL PERMANENT IMMIGRANTS A YEAR along with 640,000 guest workers annually while we have the lowest labor participation rates in 38 years. Immigrants are taking American jobs and depressing wages. We have a huge surplus of labor. We have fewer native born Americans working today than we did in 2000 despite the fact that natives accounted for two-thirds of the increase in the labor force.

I don’t mean to dispute you, I just like to point out that the country is not a job producer. In fact, when politicians get out of the way and at least abide by the rule of law, capitalism allows for opportunities.

Your point is well taken. It’s a common point and it is a great concern.

The Rule of law provides guidelines for the immigration process. It is for economic as well as for other reasons, of which I am also greatly concerned.

The rule of law takes care of it.

This current lawlessness has far reaching implications, not the least of which is economic, and employment opportunities.

The country is not just an employment arena, though.
