Armed Black Panther members marched in front of the Waller County jail and shouted, “You’re gonna stop doing what you’re doing, or we will start creeping up on you in the darkness.”
The statement was made just two weeks prior to the assassination of a Harris County deputy sheriff.
Shannon Miles, a black male, allegedly came “creeping up” behind Harris County Deputy Darren Goforth in the darkness on the night of August 28. While Goforth stood at a convenience store pumping gas into his patrol vehicle, Miles allegedly raised a pistol and shot him dead.
The comments, made by a leader of the Houston-based chapter of the New Black Panther Party, were captured on a short video clip (below) from the scene by the Houston Chronicle.

Agreed, Chicago, Detroit, DC, Baltimore, etc. wished they’d step it up some.
Shannon Miles... he was at his mama’s howse and no motive is known oh how they wring their hands over this. Charge her as an accomplis to murder. Hang him quickly and issue shoot on sight within 30 feet orders for all creepsers.

I hear that all the time. Mostly from folks who like history books.
The police response to this needs to be:
1. Install 360 degree dash cams on all unmarked and patrol vehicles.
2. Have every officer wear 360 degree body cameras.
3. Stop harassing citizens who safely video record police in public.
4. No more no-knock raids.
5. Hold law enforcement officers to the same standards as everyone else.
These five things would go a long way to restoring trust.
Relevant to #5 is if the police are going to profile bikers, NRA members, and etc. just because of what they wear then it follows that some people are going to respond in kind.
We have good cops up here in Wyoming but too many places in the US have police who act like an army of occupation and forgive me if I’m finding myself not entirely sympathetic to the idea of a Resistance. Remember that the same police who murdered people ten years ago after Katrina and the same police who were at the Bundy Ranch are the same police who patrol our streets.
Please don’t think I am anti-cop. I am pro-Constitution and some of the videos I’ve seen on You Tube of police abuse frighten me.

I spent my teen years in Sacramento with the Sheriff’s department breaking down the door about once a month. I’ve never been to jail but I’ve been in handcuffs enough time that I will NEVER go back to California ever again.
If you are a licensed CCW holder and you see some black guy with a gun sneaking up behind a cop, what would you do?
Which gives 'us' the green light to defend, with extreme prejudice.
