We have just had the two largest decades of LEGAL immigration in our history. Over 35 million legal permanent immigrants have entered since 1990. In 1970 on in 21 was foreign-born; today, it is less than one in 8, the highest in 105 years; and within a decade, it will be one in 7, the highest in our history. In 1970 there were 9.7 million foreign-born, today there are almost 42 million (USG figures).
These legal immigrants use welfare to a much higher degree than the native born. We are importing poverty.
87% of the legal permanent immigrants are minorities as defined by the USG. Immigrants and minorities vote two to one Dem. The demographics of the US have been changed forever.
We don't need 1.1 million legal immigrants a year who take jobs from Americans and depress wages. We have the lowest labor participation rates in 38 years. Does anyone think that the massive infusion of foreign workers, legal and illegal, has any connection to this fact?
