I agree with you about private hospitals being used for our veterans. However, most private hospitals are not equipped to handle some of the injuries. I do agree the VA is a monopoly run by the government and some are very inefficient with LONG TIME union employees who care only for the pay check. There are some very good VA hospitals which we do not hear about. I do wish we had more AMERICAN/ENGLISH speaking doctors working for the VA, I don’t know why so many foreign doctors are hired.
Because VA hospitals have to compete for their staff with the private sector. If there are more foreign doctors we can assume that they are not paying as well and therefore not attracting talented professionals at any level.
Another reason to ditch the VA.
