‘That’s a good question because they’re easy to find. And they’ve been all over this site from the time Cruz announced...well before, in fact.’

This is the standard reply. ‘ The statements are everywhere.’

Would it be so/too hard for just one Cruz supporter to cite just one statement?

MARCO RUBIO AND TED CRUZ DIFFER ON IMMIGRATION

Cruz, who served as Texas' solicitor general before winning his Senate seat in 2012, has become one of the most vocal critics of the Gang of Eight bill, which he voted against Tuesday. He says allowing unauthorized immigrants to get citizenship is unfair to the millions of people who have waited years, and sometimes decades, applying for green cards.

"If there's a pathway to citizenship ... that is inconsistent with the rule of law," Cruz said Tuesday. "It's unfair to the millions of legal immigrants who have followed the rules, who have waited in line years and sometimes decades to come. And ... if the pathway to citizenship is included in legislation that Congress passes, it will serve only to encourage yet more illegal immigration."

Ted Cruz on Fox with Megyn Kelly ...

We are unfortunately witnessing a constitutional crisis. What President Obama's doing is he is defying the law, he's defying the constitution. You know, the President quite rightly said just a few weeks ago his policies were on the ballot all over the country. This last election was a referendum on amnesty. And the American people overwhelmingly rose up and said, no, we don't want lawless amnesty. And I'm sorry to say President Obama's reaction is defiant. And it is angry with the American people. And if the President goes forward with this, if he goes forward unilaterally defying the Congress elected by the people, defying the American voters, then it's incumbent on Republicans in Congress to use every single constitutional tool we have to defend the rule of law to reign in a president so the president does not become an unaccountable monarch imposing his own policies in defiance of the American people. This is a moment of testing. And I am hopeful we will see Republicans in Congress stand up and side with the people against the lawless president.
