Did I mention that Donald Trump is against the 2nd amendment.. what else is he against?.. he flip flops quickly and frequently on ISSUES.... You know like a liberal.. or a RINO..

So you perceive that The Donald is "against" the Second Amendment? I have never heard any well-reasoned speech, or really any speech at all, from him to that effect. Maybe we should just ask him to produce such a speech, so as to put all doubt about the matter to rest. (He would do exceedingly well to consult with The Ted beforehand. But then again, exactly how much "help" does The Ted want to give The Donald in such matters?)

Dearest friend, I will agree with you about this: Donald Trump is a RINO — a "republican in name only." But then again, so what?

What, exactly, is in a "taxonomic label" anymore? The GOPe is clearly a self-inflicted RINO already: They have abandoned the traditional-values voters at the very heart of their mission since Day One (e.g., back to the Civil War).

And there are similar complaints on "the other side of the Aisle": There are not a few Democrats nowadays who feel they have been abandoned by their historic Party. Increasingly in recent times, under the auspices of the currently sitting (ersatz) POTUS, both of these venerable political brands — Republican, Democrat — have been rendered unto nullities. They don't "stand" for anything anymore, because Obama has assiduously been working over the past seven years to destroy the very ground on which both parties stand. After all, he is the self-described "transformational president." He has been incredibly successful in producing that result.

Which is just to say, dear 'pipe, do not put stock in taxonomic labels as they pertain to politics. They don't mean anything anymore.

My sense — FWIW — is that we are plunged into a post-party political environment. The "rules" that applied in the past may not any longer hold. And the usual definitional labels no longer apply to what matters to We the People of the United States of America.

I'd say our current existential position as American citizens is unprecedented. Until I remember the Civil War.

That American society was irremediably divided. The recourse was to war between brothers. Sickening, horrendous, ungodly effects ensued in which incalculable human suffering was general on both sides. But the Nation under the Constitution was preserved, at enormous national sacrifice....

Our "uniter, not divider" president has somehow managed to polarize American society right down to the ground. Meanwhile, both political parties just stand there, mute, doing nothing.

And you, dear friend, want to tell me that the labels the respective parties wear can actually mean anything? What do the parties stand for? To me, it seems there is little difference between them, judging from the effects of the last election....

I really wish you could keep a more open mind about breaking developments, dearest 'pipe! And stop reducing the world of actual experience to mere "labels."

HUGS!!!

No need for Donald to make another speech although repeating his support for the 2nd Amendment would be comforting to some doubters but not necessary.

He supports the 2nd Amendment:

Good evidence of your thinking.. and I almost always agree with you on political issues even other issues... you know that...

ALL that discourse above and reams of discourse on many other threads.. ARE meaningless when you have..

A Tested, Proven, Confirmed, easily researched, prepared by fire, republican candidate for President.. That easily out shines the other candidates some proven conservatives.. others NOT.. TRUMP being one of those..

Actually; much easily researched information on TRUMP too..
Trump not being as he appears.. with a mask, a persona, role playing, a mimic, and so much darn evidence against a conservative view of things.. especially political things..

With the TOP Gun staring you in the face.. TRUMP crashes and burns.. It’s almost like bewitchment this Trumpocity..

GOD didn’t promise me a Rose Garden.. I’m just doing MY part.. in my way.. TOO direct usually for most... but hell I gotta be me.. Yosemite Sam’ing it up..

Free Republic 10 years ago Trump would have been taken apart, salted, seasoned, and marinated like a brisket... and then BBQ’ed..

Trump is just not TESTED , PROVEN, Confirmed as a republican
let alone a conservative yet..

TRUE OBAMA.... has more or less driven conservatives quite crazy, gah gah, goofy.. including mesef.. BUT jeese this choice should be very easy to make.. It seems to me QUITE OBVIOUS and I’m no political genius either..

Ted is just simply the man of THIS hour... prepared and confirmed..
No one is even close to his qualifications..

A SURE Deal on an election no one can make..
