A Response to Free Republic Trump Critics
Vanity

Posted on 08/31/2015 12:43:37 AM PDT by Behind the Blue Wall

Why Trump?

1. Illegal immigration is the only issue; if it's not stopped soon, America will become like California -- a demographic one-party state.

2. Politics is about name-recognition and none of the other candidates besides Trump has the name recognition to challenge Jeb Bush or Hillary Clinton.

Therefore, Trump is the only candidate with a chance to win who has promised to do the only thing that matters.

LOL, no, I’m not talking about the classical definition of the word.

Trump’s liberal history is well documented. We’ve been posting it nonstop here on FR. If you really don’t know about it, then you haven’t vetted your candidate. At ALL.

Why, in July, he admitted that many of his positions are those of a Democrat. That’s fine with you, is it?

“A picture.” LOL

You can rationalize anything, can’t you? After all, you WERE defending Clinton messing with Monica Lewinsky in the White House.

You’re a liberal yourself. No wonder you adore Trump.

Cute. You know I meant name another liberal you would put your trust in to do what you want them to do. You apparently trust lifelong liberal Donald Trump yet play games when asked to provide the name of another liberal you trust. That is right on par with all other Trump supporters; when asked, they, too, couldn’t name another liberal they trust. See my tagline.

Calling All Trump Bashers

You Are Needed on Breitbart STAT

Conservatives on Breitbart haven’t gotten the word that Trump is a liberal Democrat. They need educating ASAP:

‘Businessman Donald Trump won August’s Breitbart Primary, surging ahead of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)96%
, who won the first two Breitbart Primary straw polls.

It was the first time that Trump, who announced his presidential bid two weeks after the inaugural Breitbart Primary started in June, has won a Breitbart Primary straw poll, and his 12-point victory over Cruz in August was the largest margin of victory to date in Breitbart Primary voting.

Trump received 38.7% of the vote, followed by Cruz (26.6%), Dr. Ben Carson (10%), Carly Fiorina (5.63%), Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY)93%
(5%), Scott Walker (3.82%), and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)80%
(2.9%).

Cruz edged out Trump in last month’s Breitbart Primary, but Trump surged into the lead in the first week of August and, like in every other state and national poll, never looked back and widened his lead to 12 points over Cruz. Focusing his campaign on illegal immigration and trade deals that harm American workers and vowing not to be beholden to lobbyist and D.C. outsiders, Trump has lapped his competition in nearly every state and national poll that has been conducted in the last two months. Trump has galvanized the conservative base and is appealing to voters who usually sit out elections because they find establishment politicians from both political parties to be repulsive.’

(Note: I would PAY to see you Trump bashers try your “Trump is a liberal Democrat” slop on Breitbart. There are some posters over there that don’t mince words.)

I’m perplexed: In what way do you regard Donald Trump as a “liberal?”

other liberals do not see liberals as “liberal”...
they see them as conservative.. not “a conservative”
but taking the conservative approach to matters.

to them being liberal is NOT radical.. it’s conservative..
being “a conservative” to them is radical..

It’s bizarro world exactly..

Thank you, but it is not complicated.

I am not enamored of Trump or enthralled by him.

In a world crashing apart, infected with gibbering nuclear mullahs and careening from debt to debt to debt and a disgustingly, inexcusably and pitifully intimidated American people - the nation will do well with a cattle-catcher on the front of an unabashed man of power.

I would rather be ashes than dust!
I would rather that my spark should burn out
in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot.
I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom
of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.
The function of man is to live, not to exist.
I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them.
I shall use my time.

(Jack London, "Credo")

I would rather my nation explode than collapse.
I would rather that freedom should burn out
in a brilliant flare of desire than it should be stifled by political correctness.
I would rather have America be a shining dream, every citizen
awake and striving for freedom, than a gulag of ideological despair.
The function of Man is to be free, not to serve the State.
I shall not waste my days trying to prolong the death of my country.
I will vote for a smashing change.

Or something like that.

Okay. If so, would you kindly tell me what aspects of The Donald's personal history that I have failed to "vet?"

Not to mention, you dodged my question RE: what category of "liberal" The Donald exemplifies, in your mind.

I await your reply with great anticipation.

Omigod, he’s gone way past category (2). He finds it wanting, in need of “updating.” Though sheltered by the word “liberal,” he is engaged in a most illiberal enterprise: the destruction of the United States of America, the sheer betrayal of the American People.

Democrats have been betraying the American people for over a hundred years... maybe two hundred..
It’s not new totally normal for them to do it...

Yes....... ALL OF THEM.. even the ones in the armed services.. that died..
Simply; To BE a democrat is to be a Traitor.. (in some respect)

Stalin had his useful idiots too... SOoo he used them..

It is destroying the country spiritually, but we will not have a country if we don’t stop the massive illegal immigration. So she is entitled to her opinion and I to mine. You can decide which way you choose, but don’t try to choose for me. Voltaire said it perfectly. Pay attention.

Yes, I was being cute.

I will abandon adorableness, and be candid with you in response:

I do not care about conservative or liberal any longer.

I care that the nation is in the death grip of collectivists, and the outcome of collectivist control is mass death and the weeping agony of the human race at the memory of a quarter billion butchered ghosts.

I care that the death of the human spirit is underway, and the cynical vested interests that skim profitable and powerful security from the effluvia of oppression cannot be broken by a normal man.

I care that America is being plundered, that America is being destroyed, and the People and their representatives are too afraid and intimidated and bullied and fatigued to rouse themselves from this fatal and progressive torpor without brash and ferocious example.

I care that the world waits with rapt and ravenous hunger for the carcass of my country to fall and break apart, and I see no other leader with the courage to sustain and withstand brutal and crippling personal damage in the waging of total war against the real threats to our shining city on the hill.

I am sick and tired. I am of an age where I have no more patience or forbearance, and am young enough to live to see the impact of our suffragic decisions.

Bring it.

I’m perplexed: In what way do you regard Donald Trump as a “liberal?”

1. Trump has been a liberal most of his adult life. He has supported abortion, gun bans, land grabs and liberal politicians. He registered as a Republican in 2009.

2. Trump has contributed generously to some of the most far left democrats in politics including Hillary Clinton (D-NY), Charles Schumer (D-NY), Terry McAuliffe (D-VA) Anthony Weiner (D-NY), Ted Kennedy (D-MA), Harry Reid (D-NV), Governor Ed Rendell (D-PA), California state attorney general Kamala Harris (D-CA), Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel (D-IL), and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.

3. Trump is a crony capitalist, explaining his large contributions to democrats as a necessary tool to conducting business. He apparently believes buying the votes of politicians is an acceptable way of doing business. That, by definition is political corruption. But liberal Donald Trump supports it.

4. Trump supported the ban on "assault weapons", even though there is no such thing as an "assault weapon". Far left anti-gun democrats wanted to ban gun ownership completely. Unable to accomplish that goal they created the term "assault weapon" and applied their own definition for the term so they could ban guns based solely on cosmetic appearances. Being the gullible liberal that he is, Trump both fell for the scheme and supported the ban.

5. As recently as 2013 Trump praised former NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg for "Putting his money where his mouth is" in trying to take guns from law-abiding citizens. Michael Bloomberg has spent tens of millions in his quest to disarm America and Donald Trump praised him for it.

6. Trump has been pro-abortion until which time he flirted with running for president. He now claims he no longer is. Believe his campaign rhetoric if you will, but his history says otherwise.

7. While he may claim to be an opponent of Obamacare, Trump is an advocate of single-payer socialized healthcare similar to what is in place in Canada. Yes, Trump supports the worst version of socialized healthcare. He has said, "The Canadian plan also helps Canadians live longer and healthier than America. We need, as a nation, to reexamine the single-payer plan, as many individual states are doing. While we work out details of a new single-payer plan, there are a number of ways to make the health care system now in place work more efficiently."

8. Trump believes in using eminent domain for the taking of private property from US citizens for his personal gain. He proved this when he tried exploiting such laws to take elderly widow Vera Coking's property so he could build a parking lot for limousines. Fortunately, the widow prevailed. He also said he supported the United States Supreme Court's Kelo decision which resulted in the taking of private land from a private party so Pfizer Pharmaceuticals could build a plant. That family lost their land and to date nothing has been built on it. It should be noted that conservatives Rehnquist, Thomas and Scalia all voted against this rotten scheme. Liberals on the court supported it, as did liberal Donald Trump.

9. Trump has said the economy does better under democrat control (we're $18 trillion in debt and climbing thanks to the dems). He also said George W. Bush was the worst president this country has ever had. Worse than the lying rapist Bill Clinton? In the mind of Donald Trump, that answer is YES because he has also said of the past four presidents, Bill Clinton was his favorite.

10. As of 2009, Donald Trump is a registered Republican. But in an interview with CNN's Wolfe Blitzer, Trump said, "I probably identify more as a democrat." His record above lends credence to that comment. You are supporting and putting your trust in a liberal.

11. Liberal Trump supported the bank bailouts. He said, "Now, I did not know about a $700 billion bailout, in all fairness. And I think probably, it is something — it’s sad, but, probably, it’s something that has to get done, because your financial system is most likely going to come to a halt if it does not. So, it is a pretty sad day for this country."

12. And the auto bailouts: “I think the government should stand behind them 100 percent. You cannot lose the auto companies. They’re great. They make wonderful products.”

13. He really liked the stimulus package: “I thought he did a terrific job,” Trump told Fox News’s Greta Van Susteren. “This is a strong guy [Obama] knows what he wants, and this is what we need. First of all, I thought he did a great job tonight,” said Trump. “I thought he was strong and smart, and it looks like we have somebody that knows what he is doing finally in office, and he did inherit a tremendous problem. He really stepped into a mess, Greta.”

You’re far too blind and narrow minded if you completely disregard someone’s talents because of a “label” which has been concocted to be divisive. I don’t go around judging people by someone else’s labels. Talent, ability, determination, performance, etc. etc., etc., are things I look at.

You haven’t been here long enough to be issuing directives to anyone, Moll, old girl.

Unless wagglebee’s sharp instincts are right again and you’re just a retread. Possibly from the anti-Freeper site? Recently a troll got zotted here, then ran back over there and was getting pointers how to post and how to choose a Freep name so that he could last longer.

Regardless, it’s interesting that you referenced Voltaire, who was an atheist with a chip on his shoulder for Christianity.

Yeah...I’m sure you’re on fire for the pro-life side.

I am neither blind or narrow minded for looking past one's campaign rhetoric and considering their past. It's called vetting and it is done every election cycle.

Did you support Mitt Romney also? He was less of a the flip-flopper than Trump so you probably did.
