For all the talk about a southern border wall (ahem, Mr. Trump), Scott Walker has an additional concern: Canada.
Given his support for building a U.S.-Mexico border wall to protect against terrorist threats, the Wisconsin governor was asked on NBCs Meet the Press by host Chuck Todd if he wanted to build a northern border wall.
Walker, a Republican candidate for president, said a U.S.-Canadian border is a legitimate issue for us to look at.
Some people have asked us about that in New Hampshire, Walker said. They raised some very legitimate concerns, including some law enforcement folks that brought that up to me at one of our town hall meetings about a week and a half ago.
As The Daily Beast pointed out last year, many GOP lawmakers had cited the threat of Islamic terrorists coming into the country through Mexico as reason to build a southern fencedespite little evidence of such a threat.
Walker has repeatedly echoed those southernly concerns, supporting construction of a wall like Israels 500-mile fence which, at 430 miles long, is a bit of a misnomer.

Bump.
This Chamber of Commerce Lawn Jockey is amusing.
I don’t have any major issues with Scott Walker but, really?
While it isn’t as secure as it should be, Canada doesn’t actively engage in sneaking people across the border as official policy. In fact, they’re pretty aggressive at stopping illegal border crossers.
Is this satire?
Seriously, in theory it is OK. But I wouldn’t make more than a 4-ft wood fence for now.
Walker is morphing from boring to pathetic.
Scott, you are doing a great job in Wisconsin, made a lot of advances in the right direction, but this silly comment makes it look like you are not all there, really. Take a few days off with no interviews, please.
Walker just might be as dumb as he looks.
They also do not allow illegals into their country...
The least of my concerns is a wall between the USA and Canada. If it wasn’t so cold there I would consider moving there.
I am in Quebec now and love the Country and the people. BONJOUR!
Is he an idiot?
Are 30 million Canadians invading America and suckng the taxpayer dry?
No?
Not even one?
Typical politician, typically trying to fool Americans.
Pathetic!
> despite little evidence of such a threat
I seem to recall quite a few reports of very definite evidence of that particular kind of threat on the southern border.
Yeah, a past drunk driving arrest is enough to deny entry into Canada.
Is this his “you mean with a cloth” moment?
Actually we do have significant problems with Muslim and Russian illegals that come in from Canada. He is belatedly right on this one.
Is the same reason Canada's does need to build a wall to keep illegal Americans out of Canada
And oddly the same reason Mexico does not build a wall to keep illegal Americans out of Mexico
But also oddly Canada might need to build a wall to keep illegal Mexicans from crossing through America in to Canada
You might think its funny now but how will you feel when there are no more Armani or Christian Dior to be found?

Damned icebacks.
Didn’t you hear, Canada’s Government makes a Pamphlet telling its Citizens how to sneak into America and they advertise on Canadian Radio how people who sneak into the USA can get Benefits from the Federal Government.
They also have a Map that shows Illegal Canadian Invaders how to get to Mark Steyn’s House in New Hampshire so they can yell at him for coming to America Legally.
Me thinks Scott has passed his Expiration Date.
