What was it they used to do with Roman Generals when they were given their victory parade? Didn't they put a slave in the Chariot whispering into their ear "Sic Transit Gloria Mundi" or something?
I think the Romans may have had the right idea.
I went through OCS in 76. Livesays Son was in my platoon. We kept bottom fiveing him each week. We couldn’t understand how he made it. After we graduated we found out who his Dad was! Years later I had to brief him, he was a three star at the time. After the briefing I asked him how his son Tim was doing? He looked me and mumbled something uncomplimentry!
