Of course he drove down there and paid after the first two attempts to pay were declined. Why would he drive down there to pay before his employer's payments had been declined? He still drove there and made the payment before his employer was charged with a theft which the police knew he hadn't committed. They also knew he hadn't grabbed the delivery man by the throat, grabbed him by the facial hair, or pinned him against the refrigerator, but they charged him with that too.

We have some “FReepers” now who absolutely revel in citizens being rough handled by overreacting LEOs. These “FReepers” typically spend their time attacking and denigrating the object(s) of the LEO overreach. It makes be wonder about the bona fides of such people. Of course, some may have simply reacted to incomplete or incorrect information and I try to cut those folk some slack.
